For many years there was a fear that weight lifting was bad for young people's development. Every study that has been done indicates otherwise.

Lift carefully and build slowly. Don't always be trying to lift overly heavy weights, as there are just too many ways to get injured. Work your muscles to fatigue through 3 sets of 8-12 reps- such that you cannot do the last rep.

then- make sure that you give your muscles time to recover- perhaps 2 days in-between.

I started lifting weights in 8th grade. I'm turning 20 soon and I'm about 6'2". What do you think?

no weights are a healthy exercise that increases strength and muscle mass there is nothing bad about them. they only become bad if you take steroids and other illegal substances

Strength training increases your muscle mass and your bone mass. It doesnt affect your height.
