I know that masturbation itself is not directly referred to as a sin. I think it does have positive health aspects that outweigh the negative aspects.

I have tried to stop masturbating several times, but I have come to realize that it is almost impossible, and in fact it is not necessary to quit.

However, masturbation typically involves pornography, fantasizing, and lust (which is a sin).

How do I keep unclean thoughts out of my head when masturbating? Is it effective? I just think it would be awkward to be thinking about flowers or homework while masturbating.

So. Advice? Suggestions? Personal Experiences? I am very eager to read. Thanks! =)

If it helps any, this friend was sent to Richland Springs in Columbia, SC. I could probably find out more from the family later on, I'd just like some sort of idea.

He was taken into the E.R. with no known medical conditions. When he arrived he had a blood sugar level of 2133.Yes,I know that sounds impossible but it is true. His pancreas gave out, which led all the bad toxins to destroy 2.5 feet of his intestine, not to mention his kidneys failed. It has been one week today that he had the surgery. He has finally had the breathing tube removed and can talk.all he talks about is how we need to be there to see him asap because we will never see him again.i dont know if he is giving up or just being a 'bad, miserable' patient.obviously he has gone through a lot and is very lucky to be alive.all my friends and family are asking me if his chances are good, and i dont know what to say.i have no clue and am not being told much by the dr's and nurses.my mom lost her first husband to cancer (my real father), her middle son to a heart condition at age 4,and if she loses him, i dont know what will happen.has anyone heard of cases like this w/survivors?

I have only been taking Abilify for a few weeks (I switched from seroquel, which made me gain weight.) and I have two questions. First, how do you suggest that I combat this restless urge to move all the time (which I'm experiencing as a side-effect of abilify) and is Abilify stronger than seroquel? I ask this because my doctor took me off of 100 mg seroquel and put me on only 10 mg of abilify. Are those amounts comparable to one another?

I hear concertos in my head when I am deprived of sleep... Ones I have never heard, Right now I am depressed, I used to hear them when I had plenty of sleep, now that I spend nights awake I only hear them when I am exhausted. I could remember them before this depression, now I can't when I hear them at my points of exhaustion of not having slept in more than 24 hours. Before this depression I did not have insomnia. What is the cause of this?

My daughter ate cooked chicken that was left out for 8 hours. It had been refrigerated prior and was left out in an air conditioned home. Do you think she will be ill and if so, how soon? Not very happy about this.

I'm a pre-calculus teacher and I have a 16 year old girl in one of my classes. I had her last year as a student as well. Last year she was very quiet, but this year she seems even more quiet and is very shy. She won't talk to anyone and when someone tries talking to her she replies, but very quietly and she looks really nervous to talk to anyone. Whenever I glance over at her she always looks very distressed. But she's a very hardworker and gets all of her work done and is very thourough. I just don't know why she's so scared around people. What do you guys think? I decided to ask this in adolescent since teens may be able to give me some insight.

I am getting blood drawn next week and I am super nervous. Yes, I have gotten blood drawn before, and it HURT!!! Thankfully, I learned that getting it on the hand is less painful than getting it done on the forearm or the wrist, which is probably the most painful. I don't need, or want, any, "Don't worry, it's not 'that' bad, " because it 'is' bad and I 'do' worry. I am not asking this question for compassion or empathy, but advice. What are some things I can do to numb the location beforehand, and what are some things I can take that would calm me down before the torture (bloodwork) begins. Also, I don't know, but when people like me go to get blood drawn is there anything the phlebotomoist can apply to the location or give (pills) to relax the patient's nerves?

Yes, smoke it. As in a joint. Not the actual peanut, but the red skins on the outside of it. Crushed up, and smoked, any health concerns?

Oh, and why? A friend told me that if you smoke it, it gets you higher than pot. I've never smoked anything, but I figured a high with no side effects, why the hell not... Any possible health problems though?

I am 18 and have been using organic tampons (with applicators) since I was alot younger... It seems easy for everyone else... but whenever I try, I can only push the tampon in about an inch (not all the way like its supposed to be) and it feels like it hits the back, and sometimes the front of inside of me. It never goes up! I am not a virgin, and it isn't any easier. It just never goes up, and feels like it hits the vaginal wall. I try to follow the instructions that comes with them, but it never helps! So whenever I wear tampons, the end always somewhat sticks out of my vagina. I don't need lubrication, I just need help on the angle. I would try different angles when it goes in wrong, but I think that if I put it in wrong, take it out, put it in again, take it out, and put it in again, it will 'dry me out' ... Please help me?
I will report any innapropriate answers
thanks!

This happens fairly often: I am going about my business, when suddenly I feel as thought I have something in my eye. After a little while, regardless of whether I physically attempt to remove the irritation or not, I spot a clear, string-like apparatus in my eye. I remove it, and it's the same every time: It's about the length of my eye, as thin as a piece of thread, very stretchy, wet, with the consistency of what feels like jelly. If I leave it out in the air, it hardens and becomes very tough.

What is this that is in my eyes? Is it the lens shedding layers? Is it a particular illness? Any input is appreciated. All I know is that it is annoying as hell, and happens at least once every week or two.

My mother went for a mammogram Weds and they called her today and told her they they did find something on her breast and they want her to come in Monday. I am going with her Monday but of course I am worried.

My question is this.... When there is something found is it likely cancer??? I mean is there a high percentage of a risk that it is?

I understand it can be a number of things but I am curious.

I had a baby 1 year ago (actually, on Oct. 1st) by c/s. Since then, every month has been getting worse and worse. And now, in the past 2 months it's almost worsening day by day. Today, several times, it made walking almost unbearable. Can endometriosis recur that quickly? I was told at like 14 or something that I had endometriosis. I haven't had any trouble with it though for several years (over 7). Could it be endometriosis just coming on so quickly or something else? Feel free to search my profile for recently asked questions for more specific details.
