I am 18 and have been using organic tampons (with applicators) since I was alot younger... It seems easy for everyone else... but whenever I try, I can only push the tampon in about an inch (not all the way like its supposed to be) and it feels like it hits the back, and sometimes the front of inside of me. It never goes up! I am not a virgin, and it isn't any easier. It just never goes up, and feels like it hits the vaginal wall. I try to follow the instructions that comes with them, but it never helps! So whenever I wear tampons, the end always somewhat sticks out of my vagina. I don't need lubrication, I just need help on the angle. I would try different angles when it goes in wrong, but I think that if I put it in wrong, take it out, put it in again, take it out, and put it in again, it will 'dry me out' ... Please help me?
I will report any innapropriate answers
thanks!

try lying down and inserting it, if you continue to have trouble I would see your doctor, if you have been able to have sex with no problem then you should be able to insert it easily, also try to relax as you insert it, if you are nervous or tense it might make the walls of your vagina tighter. Hope this helps.

The use of any oils or Vaseline in the vagina can cause infection. Do not user VASELINE like someone had said up above! Try using KY Jelly.
Maybe the tampon you're using is too big?? Try using a different kind a Slim tampon may be what you need. If your tampon won't go in, try to apply it while standing up. Put one foot up on the toilet or tub, separate the outer lips, and insert the tampon until your fingers touch your skin.

Ana, I had the same problem - although "organic tampons" didn't exist when I was younger. Actually I had to stop using them completely - even though I was only using them to swim with (and I know you can swim in water without them - at least I believe so?) - after about twenty years of using them when my gynecologist (the sweetest most wonderful woman) - told me about how after two cervix ulcers if I didn't give them up she would no longer see me. (Oh and that is not to mention toxic shock syndrome.) She had started seeing me because a girlfriend of mine recommended her and I was bleeding for about 25 days. She had never heard of me nor seen me and told me to come to her office ASAP and she would see me and said it was a serious matter and I had better take her advice. Well? I fell in love with her and always followed her advice after that. She stopped her practice and just a few years ago passed away. The world is at a loss for her demise! Maybe in a way this message/answer is my way of sending her advice to you. Hope so anyway. Take care in any case.

while you're attempting to come to a decision the thank you to place the tampon in and it rather isn't any longer that ingredient of the month then it probably won't bypass in via fact there is not any mositure or something. it would desire to be which you will desire to slip the tampon in and then push the stick. It won't artwork while you're taking the tampon (the cotton-like stuff interior the interior) out of the applicator. If all else fails ask a concentrated pal or your mom.

1] ok, get some vaseline to lubricate a little.
2] aim tampon at 45 degree >, towards the small of your back, so the tampon goes behind your cervix. You may find it easier to put in sitting, or standing.
Many of us have this problem to start. Good thing we have Answers now!

Point it toward the small of your back. Make sure the applicator is all the way in, untill your fingers are touching yourself, before you push it in.

try angling the top of it towards the back (towards your butt) at about 20 degrees. push it in that way, then when it reaches a stop, point the top towards your head and push it straight up.

I know people that just can't use them....my friend has problems with them but she says she stands up and spreads her legs apart and that helps.
