I had a temporary crown made and put on last week, and the permanent one will be put on in two weeks.
Can anyone explain the how they will be changing them out? Will local anesthetic be administered?

it is painful when I press on it but I havent had my inflamed teeth look at because of lack of insurance I know it could be a cyst its right next to my infected tooth...any ideas what exactly it could be?

After pulling the tooth, the periodontist did a bone graft with a collagen dressing, then stitched it up. When a bone graft is done, can you still get dry socket? I had dry sockets years ago when my wisdom teeth were pulled, and I'm terrified of it!

I'm going to school to become a commercial pilot. Obviously my career depends on being able to see 20/20 with or without correction (I'm 20/200 without contacts, slight astigmatism). I'm 30 years now but have considered eye surgery my entire life. (even RK back in the day). Obviously technology has improved by leaps and bounds. When LASIK rolled out I thought how could it get better than this? My best friend is a MD and he told me to hold off for a few years (this was 4-5 years ago) and now we have custom wavefront LASIK. I have had friends who've had both done with excellent results. Now with wavefront LASIK advancements, what else is on the horizon??? Are some stellar new techniques currently being developed that will roll out in the next 4-5 years?

My eye doctor is suggesting PRK. Night vision problems could also end my career. I've heard there is less chance of reduced night vision (halos /startbursts) with PRK. The NAVY only allows PRK surgery for their pilots.

i was using dental braces , my front theets were tilted outside before i had anaccident?
and one of my front thoot was completely dislodged , doctor has adviced me to use dental bridge /?
my question is that is that possible to use the braces again after bridging the theeth /?

I had very high sugar levels, and my doctor told to change my diet, so I did for a bit and then my family had money problems. My mom only afforded one meal a day, and it was fastfood, so not healthy at all. I have a few common symptoms, I'm always thirsty, pee alot, light headed, and I don't know if this is a symptom but any type of sugar that goes into my body gives me a terrible feeling. Help!

i currently weigh about 190 (either a little more or less, i last used a scale at a friends house and was 192 or so). however, i am 5 ft 9 or 5 ft 10. whenever i ask someone how much they think i weigh, they guess around 150. what is it that makes me look forty pounds lighter ? obviously being taller than normal makes my weight look more spread out so i look skinnier, but i wonder if being just a few inches taller than normal could make me look that much skinnier ? i'm 14 yo boy by the way. i wear xl's, although large fits me (since im overweight i feel more comfortable in roomy clothes)

My grandmother has moderate to severe dimentia (sp?) so we decided to let her move in with us. It has been a month and she cries almost every night, forgets everything, and is very selfish. Half the day she is a wonderful and kind, functional person, and the other half she is crazy with dimentia. What can we do for her? We can't send her to live alone and a nursing home is a very expensive option. Is there anything else?

Im an 18 year old female and not to long ago I had really bad allergies, so i went to my doctor and he gave me an antibiotic called bactrim. About two days later I noticed I small white patch in the back my throat, not all over it just one small patch, it didnt hurt, and my tounge is perfectly pink and normal. It freaked me out because I looked it up on the net and it said people with HIV normaly get it ! And i was wondering if this antibiotic could cause this. I heard before that antibiotics cause alot of thrush and yeast infections cause it kills off the good bactria! Should I be freaked out or what. Last year I did a CBC test and my test came back normal. My doctors say I worry to much and that Im a hyprocondriac .Other then that I feel fine. SHould I be feaked out or no ?

I have been experiencing chest pain since a long my doctor says this is hyperacidity caused by anxiety . now a days i have been having pain in my left shoulder and back also. Whenever school starts or my family and I go on a vacation, I always get severely sick. I throw up, try to stay home, everything. Especially when school starts, and I know I'm stressed out, but my parents dismiss it as heart burn. And it's not heart burn. I think I have some kind of mental disorder, but I'm not sure what. And I really don't want to tell my parents about it because they think I've grown out of these weird symptoms by now, but I've been suffering with them ever since I was nine years old, and I'm fifteen now. They just won't go away, and I've been to the doctor before, but to no avail. What should I do?

On the right lower side where my wisdom tooth will be, the gum area became swollen for two days. It did not hurt but it had gradually gotten bigger to a point where I could not bite down fully. It looked as if there was white liquid inside. Today it seemed to have drained on its own as the swelling has disappeared and I could taste a strange liquid in my mouth with my tongue. Was this an infection? Should I be concerned?
