Whenever school starts or my family and I go on a vacation, I always get severely sick. I throw up, try to stay home, everything. Especially when school starts, and I know I'm stressed out, but my parents dismiss it as heart burn. And it's not heart burn. I think I have some kind of mental disorder, but I'm not sure what. And I really don't want to tell my parents about it because they think I've grown out of these weird symptoms by now, but I've been suffering with them ever since I was nine years old, and I'm fifteen now. They just won't go away, and I've been to the doctor before, but to no avail. What should I do?

Sounds like you are having panic attacks associated with social situations. These are generally classified as social phobias and can be treated with SSRIs most specifically, Zoloft.

You really need to talk to a doctor. The next time you go to your family doctor please discuss this issue with him or her. Tell the doctor you believe that you may have some sort of anxiety disorder and would like to be referred to a psychiatrist. Also, you can see your school counselor and ask what you can do to get professional help. Your school nurse is another resource, and if you have a teacher who teaches psychology, you can try asking them for advice.

The bottom line is that you need professional help, and should not have to suffer like this.

This might be your body's (harmful and uncomfortable) way of dealing with incoming stress; there's been cases where people have heart arrythmias on death anniversaries (their body's way of "grieving" is elevated pressure, high stress on their heart, etc) and other similar events like that.

It sounds like panic attacks/high anxiety..

I'd tell your doctor and just flat out explain and explain the situation until they give you some referral to a psych specialist or heck maybe even see a psychiatrist first.

See a professional! Do not take any advise on here that you may later regret! your symptoms need to be properly analyzed by a trained doctor, do not lie about anything or they cannot properly help you. Good luck, and get well soon.

See a therapist, but it sounds an awful lot like an anxiety disorder to me.
