It sounds like gastroesophageal reflux and the anxiety you are obviously having is adding to it. You state you have "chest pain burn" which is a classic symptom of GERD along with the feeling of vomiting. You NEED to talk with your physician and let him know what ever you are taking is not working. There are a lot of medications for this, foods to eat and not eat, raise head of bed, don't eat so many hours before going to bed, etc... The advise you get, should come from your physician!!

Are you seriously overweight? Do you have a history of heart disease? Does your family have a history of dying at an early age from heart disease? If not, I would probably agree with your doctor. Try to take a pepcid before bed. However, a stress EKG will probably relieve some of your anxiety, which can be contributing to or actually making your chest pains. In fact it is one of the most common diagnoses given when someone is having chest pain but not a heart attack.

I don't want to scare you, but heart attack comes to mind. It also could be acid reflux or esophageal spasms. I hope you are going to get an EKG, Soon.

Go see a cardiologist, not a GP.
