I reached my weight loss goal and am 170lbs. Now I am working out to gain lean muscle, so I cut down my cardio to 3 days instead of 5 and have intensified my weight lifting. That causes a lot of soreness and taking a Ibuprofen (800 mg) makes a whole world of a difference as it allows me to sleep without pain and wake up feeling good. Is it bad to take one every night?

I need some new music for my ipod. Normally I listen to alternative rock and indie music but it's not upbeat enough to workout to. Tonight I listened to The Way I Are by Timbaland and even though I normally hate that kind of music it's good to workout to. Any other suggestions?

I have been playing guitar for 12 years, and ever since a biking accident I had when I was about 11 years old, I have been having intermittent but almost severe pains in my wrist. I never feel pain when I play guitar, but a few days afterwards I will feel a sharp, deep pain through my entire wrist area. Sometimes it just happens out of nowhere, whether or not I have been overusing it. My fingers get tense and have trouble moving, and my entire wrist has trouble moving. However, movement does not make the pain any worse.

I have been to a doctor who told me it is NOT carpal tunnel, it's not DeQuervain's tendonitis, it's not a broken bone... and when I showed him where it hurt, since it was so many locations simultaneously, he said, "It's probably tendonitis in all of those tendons, so I can't give a cortisone injection or anything." He advised me to take ibuprofin every 4 hours for 3 weeks while wearing a brace.

my fiance says she hasn't been able to use the bathroom in about 7 days now. she took some new yogurt and cereal that she thinks caused it, but they were supposed to be high in fiber. Anyhow she tried taking some medicine over the counter that was supposed to make her use the bathroom within 15 min and it didn't work. She went to the doctor today and they did an x-ray and said her intestines were backed up and gave her some medicine that's supposed to take 2 to 4 days. Is this common for women? Is this a serious condition? Will she be ok? She's worried and I don't know what to do, but comfort her.

I believe she has used suppositories already. She doesn't like talking about that kind of stuff, but she briefly mentioned that.

Quick question...
I try and do pushups nightly before I goto bed every day, but I'm wonderin how many I actually have to do to make any sort of difference.

Right now, I can do about 30 before I give up, n' then I just head to bed. Should I do more reps of 30, you think? Is 1 enough to make any sort of difference?

For a 17 year old male, is 30 push ups kind of pathetic? I don't really do any other sort of workout apart from running. I don't want to goto the gym and weight train, will doing these pushups be enough to stay in shape and maybe build up some muscle in my arms? Or do I need to do some other sort of exercise, and if so, what, and how much of it?

Thanks...

Why would anyone refuse treatment for tuberculosis? Thats just mind boggling to me that anyone with a positive TB test would refuse to take the antibiotics for treatment. What do you think they are thinking?

I had this surgery done in 2001. I lost almost 200 lbs. i am very happy now.

There is only one problem. I have alot of excess skin hanging. My health coverage covers the bypass but not the skin hanging. What do i do. I have alot of trouble walking and i get rashes sometimes.

My coverage is Americhoice, Medicaid, and Medicare.

What can i do to get some of the skin taken off. Any advice will help.

Does my medical plan cover anything for skin removal?

I'm 5'9" and weigh 145 lbs, but all my sisters and my mom are really skinny and I feel gross when I'm around them. My older sisters are good bike riders and my other sister just lost a bunch of weight by pretty much starving herself. I feel really selfconsious about my body but I dont want to hurt my body by starving myself. I kind of want to get onto my school's track team, but I suck at running and am really out of shape. How do i get into shape and lose a few pounds? How would I be able to run long distances without getting cramps or out of breath?

Am 28 year old guy. I have no friends. I've never had a girlfriend.

Am a short guy (5'4) and skinny. I also have poor health.

Girls think I'm handsome, but most of them don't want to be with me since I'm short. Even the girls shorter than me.

My life is pointless and lonely. I honestly don't care about suicide, but my family is what keeps me from doing it.

I can't see how my situation can improve. Everyone else is enjoying life, but I will never find someone because I'm being punished for this crime.

What is the point of this life when you get rejected time and time again for something you had not control of?
