If a person is truly not happy with the way their life is, maybe they have some kind of personal problem that's so bad that it's making their life miserable, should that person be ashamed of seeking professional help (psychologist, pherapist, counselling, etc)? The reason I'm asking is because I have a lot of personal problems that I feel are grately disturbing my life (read my latest two questions to understand). I have no social skills, have no idea how to properly communicate with other people & have a severe stress-disorder. I am SICK of it as I feel my problems seem to be getting worse the longer I leave them & have decided that I would like to seek professional help.

If I go ahead with it (& I really wish to), should I be ashamed of myself for doing so? Will the doctors label me as a crazy person or something? I am definitely not crazy, but a part of me is frightened for wishing to seek help with my problems in case they wrongly give me that label.

Am I crazy?

i have red patches in my penies i creates itchy but when ever i rub it with my hands a few drops of water like something comes from that area and suddenly i feel like burning it that place.that water like substance makes that patch to grow in a larger area .that place seems to be dark red.
for this i try itch guard cream and powders after having a shower but still it dosnt seems to get crue only for few days i feel like good after wards the same problem arise near by to that area .still now i didnt had sex with anybody else but i dont know how i got affected by this problem?
my friend told that it may be yeast i dont know what that one is so please tell me what it would may be? and what medicine should i have to take? do i face any searious trouble?it creates a black mark in that area afterwards when the wounds get cure .please help me.

Okay, I have this nagging pain on my right side, more towards my back... but it's sort of radiating to the front... making me kind of feel sick to my stomach. And I have a bad head ache. I have been awake for 36 hours and I have not gotten the least bit sleepy, or closed my eyes. I cannot get to sleep. I have been completely hyper for the entire time i've been awake. No i am not on pills and i am not eating too much sugar. help?

My 24 yrs old niece is having episodes of strange & mix kind of behavior of anger & becoming violent,depressed,going on hunger strike while she locks herself in her room.She refused to go to doctor or even to the hospital.She would become normal for a while or next day and other time she would show all of the symptoms I mentioned.What we should do?Do we have to call ambulance and admit her in hospital forcefully?

No jokes, please... this is a serious question...

Even though I'm relatively young (25) and have not had babies yet, I've been having a problem with hemorrhoids for years. Recently the problem seems to have gotten worse; it's now hard to go to the bathroom without some discomfort, and yesterday I saw some blood for the first time in a while.

My gynecologist said that there's nothing anyone could do for the hemorrhoids, that even if I got them removed they would grow back. He said the best thing to do would be to wait till I'm finished having babies (because being pregnant will make them worse), then try getting them removed. But who knows when I'll be finished having babies... in the meantime, I don't want to be uncomfortable for another 10+ years!

What kind of doctor should I see for this problem? A general practitioner? Or a specialist? If a specialist, what kind?

I go to the gym three/four times a week in an attempt to lose my 2 extra stone. I sweat a lot as I really pound the cardio machines and am looking for some tops that would be sweat retardant and look okay on a chubbier male such as myself! Nike dry fit etc all look the part but cling and seem to be for athetically toned people. Any advice on similar tops to wick away the sweat would be a big help! Many thanks, Alex

I am so weak that I can't even do one push up. There must be another way to build up strength so that I can start doing them (even if I can only do a couple at a time to start out). What is the best excersize to condition my body to be able to do push ups? I was wondering if weight training for the arms would be best? I just have no idea.

seriously this is getting me down. mentally i punish myself and feel guilty for everything i do, even if beyond my control. i imagne people talking about me behind my back. if i do something like get drunk i torture myself over how foolish and punish myself by telling myself how stupid and pathetic i am.

i hate being this way. i tried antidepressants, and i take valium and that helps the related anxiety i end up giving myself. i tell myself i will humiliate myself if i do anything in public.

i know it sounds messed up but how can i stop this i am like the most self destructive person in the world. but i hide this.

bloating, blood in the urine, ect like me, why does she get a stabbing pain around where the kidneys are? Like a sharp stabbing pain lasting for about 10-20 seconds around where the kidneys are. It has gone away now. But could this mean the cancer is spreading? I get a feeling it s. But I need to know your opionion about this. Would a ovarian cancer patient get stabbing pains that last for a short time around near the kidneys? Urgent advice.
