potassium helps with cramps. Eat a banana right before bed...they also have sleep inducing qualities in them. I read it on a website advocating bananas, but I forgot the address.

try to drink more water during the day.. maybe even a big glass before you lay down.. alot of the time the cramps are caused by dehydration also maybe do leg stretches before settling into bed..
if it continues for more than a week and more than 2-3 times.. then you should see a doctor and check for an imbalance.. potassium or other mineral.

Potassium hepls, but i find that if I keep my legs warm, under the covers, this helps too. I get them too so that has helped me alot.
