I have a few questions that I have been wondering about lately. I was wondering if anyone here has asked their doctors about using tampons before they started using them. I was also wondering how you asked if you did and what their response was. Also did the doctor try to make it as comfortable as they could and how embarrassing was it after you said it. Also how did you bring yourself to ask? If you haven't asked what are some ways that I could ask my pediatrician. I have a female doctor. I trust her and all but I am just to nervous to ask about tampons but I want to hear what she has to say. I have no one else to talk to about this and I do not want to just "try" them before I talk to my doctor. I have tried several time to ask but I chicken out. I know that every girl has to deal with period but I still find it so embarrassing. What can I do? I play a lot of sports and am very active so I really wanna switch!

I was reading up on which is strong, motron or Advil and almost 99% of people reply with .. "Oh dont take those! they can hurt your liver/kidneys"!! omg ..so can drinking!!! People you all know that drinking is just as hard on your body as in a over the counter pain killer. stop telling ppl its bad for you ...who the heck wants to suffer painful black aches ..or head aches? NOBODY.. And to be honest...how many timse does the average human take of a motron a day verse drinking alchol? mmhm, almost every weekend ppl drink ..you take morton like once in a while ....unless your like 80 years old. My point is .. i take morton i have issues with my back/knees and its not a fun place..and im totally pissed off and NOT in a good mood, so in order to cure that i take morton! so there!

I'm 33 and got all my teeth pulled on Monday the 6th,,upper and lower and got immediate dentures.My face is still a little sore and my gums are black and blue.Any idea when my gums will return to normal and be pain free?

Also will i ever be able to eat steak or beef jerky again? (:

Today while play volleyball, I tried setting and the ball hit my thumb and it pulled very back. After that, all day my thumb hurt badly. It feels like its cramped because when i stretch it, theres alot of pain... What do I do to help fix it? My friend told me to wrapt tape around it... what about ice?? help!!

My new hubby used to chew tobacco, but he has been using the nicotine gum for over a year now. He chews 4 pieces of 2mg many times a day. ( I am talking several boxes of 90/week). What are the risks? I have tried to wean him off with regular gum, but no luck. Any ideas?

I was put in the hospital for three days about two weeks ago due to severe tonsilitis. After I got out my tonsils became infected and I was given new steroids and antibiotics. I was set to get them removed Wednesday but had a delayed allergic reaction to the medicine and broke out in a rash so the surgery was postponed. While still slightly swollen, my tonsils are much better. I'm set to get them out on the 22nd, but due to the obvious progress my throat has made, will they still need to be removed? I suffer several soar throats a year and was told that would end with the removal of my tonsils but if they are better I don't know if I should still get them out. Any past experiences and help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have read and heard a lot about ensuring you achieve muscle failure during a workout on the 10th repitition of a weight training excersise. However, I also have read and heard a lot about doing three sets of 10 reps. Upon which set should I first achieve muscle failure? First set, second set or third set?

I find that if I achive muscle failure on the first set at the 10th rep, I am unable to complete 10 reps on the subsequent (2nd and 3rd) sets. What's more important: doing three sets of 10 reps (for 30 reps total) or perhaps doing the first set of 10 reps to failure and then less reps on the subsequent 2nd and 3rd set (for less than 30 reps total)?

I have realized that nothing I say can make him stop. He has to want to change. I was wondering if anyone else out there is going through the same thing. and I was wondering how you cope with it. I'm 16 and have decided I will never drink because I see how it can ruin a family. I dont think any of my friends know and I want it that way but it would also be nice to be able to talk to someone about it. Is there like a free hotline or something?

For a while I thought it was low blood sugar or something, but half the time eat, I feel even more light headed and dizzy....and even more hungry. I am not sure what is causing this, but the symptoms became even more pronounced today during a migraine and scared me. Please help....does anyone have any ideas??

i was diagnosed with depression a couple of months ago along with anxiety and self mutilation. I find that i am starting to get really really angry at everything all the time. My friends are driving me crazy but they are the only friends i have. i am moving interstate to get away from everything here and now my friend has decided she is coming with me. I dont want her to come because she is what i am trying to get away from. I am at the point where i dont answer the phon and either sleep or doze all day.

I think i have bulimic issues but not necessarily have bulimia. i try and make myself sick once a day at least but i have no privacy and am never alone enough to do it without people knowing. So that makes me angry that i want to do it and cant..

Not really sure what to do next... I am scared and angry and confused and want to cry because life isnt supposed to be like this..

A relative had radioactive iodine for a thyroid treatment and 3 days have passed since he took the pill. Do you think it is safe now to enter the house. My relative only has 20 percent radiation left in him. Is ok to watch tv in the same room.
