Like, people who have been close to the harmer, or even people who have had no experience of self-harm in their lives. Can it be understood or just accepted?? Answers from both sides of the fence please, and it would be interesting if people could mention what side of the fence they're on. Thank you. :-)

i dont have herpes , but a friend of mine had a really bad herpes. he had protected sex the first outbreak was in his penis, then he went through six months Sixth months with out an outbreak, his second outbreak was really painful, and it was in his neck, then from there his spread it into his eyes, and his mouth, because he bites his nails often, he had the herpes bunds now below his eye lids, and in his upper lips, and inside his mouth he has become really depressed. I want to help him but don’t know how. I was wonder what are the chances the next outbreak will be by his eyelids because he is really concerning about it, I help him with some info and now he is taking lysine, he eyes get a little watery he all ready went to the doctor and they keep telling him that they are allergies., so my question is will the bumps in the lips will the go away, and the ones in his face?, if he is able to get through the doctor acyclover eye drops, will it help him, even though he has used twice an ointment and will abreva also help in his lips?

ok now before any smartass people say "just stop using drugs" understand i have. its been already 9 days since i last smoked and ive failed 2 drug test already. first one my roomate and i took detox from a headshop and he passed but i failed..second i had stoped smoking for 2 days and for those 2 days i drank nothing but water, cranberry juice, pickle juice and certo..from morning to morning till i had to take to test, and i got the results later that day only to my dissapointment i came back positive with an " Extremly High" marijuana count...i dont get it why i didnt pass...i have quit smoking all in all, but my roomate still smokes without a care in the world, and it pisses me off, of how he can pass a drug test and i cant...somebody please help! Rent is coming up and still got no job because of it! oh and an additional detail i failed to mention, is he is very overweight and iam thiner than he is.

What to do when you are very lonely?

ok... I just got out of a painful 'relationship'. Had to let it go because well I refused to be a doormat. But before he came into my life I was fine and just enjoying my everyday life. However, after it ended I suddenly felt lonely. He basically awakened the feelings of being someone and caring about them. And now I dont know what to do. I'm really lonely. I hang out with friends and try to keep busy but apparently it's not working... I hate this feeling

I see those concepts thrown around a lot and I've always wondered what people really meant when they say this.

To me, ''emotionally strong'' means putting your emotions out of the way and think logically instead; not letting your emotions be in control of you, thinking with your right side of the brain instead of the left one when something ''emotionally disturbing'' happens.

I really don't know what is meant by ''mentally strong'', to me, saying someone is ''mentally strong'' is the same as saying ''s/he is smart''.

So my question is, what exactly is meant by ''emotionally strong'' and ''mentally strong''?

How much egg should be consumed to stay healthy?

I saw this chart. It says:2000 calories then cholesteroal should be less than 300 mg. According the the Nutrition facts, one egg has 215 mg of cholestrol. That means more than that exceeds the cholesterol intake

I had a root canal done a few years ago, and I got a porcelain crown put on today...but every time I even tap the crown with the tooth on top I feel pain all the way through my tooth. Also, the left side of my gum hurts and feels like there's a lot of pressure being put on it. All the pain is in turn making my jaw and right ear hurt. Is this normal after you first get a crown put on? Or should I be worried that something is wrong?

im dating a guy who has just told me he has them..we have not had sex yet but we will soon. i know nothing about it and altho gone on some websites theres sum questions i cant see to find answer to.
1* if i touch his penis can i not touch anything else til i wash my hands incase i touch my mouth etc and spread it?
2* do i have to boil wash the bedding the next day?
3* if we have sex with a condom is there anyway i cud still catch it?

I am someone who gets anxiety easily. I will usualy just leave a party, because I am too scared to say the wrong thing. I try to NOT think, but it is harder done than said. Alcohol only helps a little. I have low self esteem..obviously. I go out as often as I can but can never enjoy myself.

I know that at my age (12-13) one breast may be smaller than the other. I THINK that my left breast is a different size than my right and when I wear clothes you could see the difference. Is there a way to make it look like they're the same size ? I've tried stuffing my bra, but it just feels uncomfortable and I'm afraid that someone could tell. Please help??

And for that matter, why does anyone want to be branded this way..if they don't have to be...I notice, and I am not trying to be mean,..that for instance, when a child is a brat, and they need to have a spanking,...there are about five different diagnosis' for them...a mental illness of some sort, when in the old days, a good whipping would have stopped it then and there...I see people here, who have fears, things they dread, so on and so forth..but because greedy shrinks want that almighty dollar, they have everyone wondering, "What's wrong with me?"..there is a diagnosis for everything...anyway,...Why is this,...or is it just a sign of the times?
