First of all, get the new HPV vaccine called Gardasil before you have sex with him! The vaccine protects against 4 different kinds of HPV (two known to cause about 70% of cervical cancer and two known to cause about 90% of genital warts).

And to answer your questions:
1. HPV can be spread by DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area. If you were to touch his penis or the warts directly and then touch your genital area you COULD spread HPV to yourself.

2. No, you don't need to wash the sheets afterwards. HPV can NOT be transmited by sheets, toilets, showers, etc. If you are REALLY concerned then go ahead and wash then, but it's not really nessicary.

3. Yes, even if you have sex with a condom he can still pass HPV to you. HPV, and also genital herpes, can be spread by DIRECT skin to skin contact. So, even if the condom is covering his penis, it's not covering his enitre genital area. Just the rubbing back and forth of the genital areas during sex is enough to spread the virus.

Good luck and look into getting the vaccine!

First of all, before I answer, I have to say you seem to have a very imature attitude to sex: he has genital warts, but we're "going to have sex soon"! Surely the fact that he has them should make you think "maybe we shouldn't do it until they've gone"???

Secondly, in answer to your questions:
1&4) Don't touch it full stop, as with verrucas and other warts, the virus can spread anywhere and mutate to suit potential growths in the new area. It is easier for someone else to catch the virus than it is for him, as his body is already fighting it. However, he may end up with them on his hands if he persistantly masturbates or touches them... therefore making it even more likely for it to spread.
2) You wouldn't have to boil the bedding - the virus cannot live away from the skin.
3) As with any STD/HIV/pregnancy, condoms do not fully protect you (they're only 97% effective when used totally properly). It really is too risky to go there.

If he is worth it, he will think it is OK to not sleep together yet. My guess is, if he hasn't already suggested you wait, he possibly isn't worth sleeping with.... with or without the warts. Perhaps you should ask him how he ended up getting them in the first place.

I got diagnosed with genital herpes (type 2) about four yrs ago, when I was still in college and had a dumb one-night stand. I understand loads of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a mistake that one time and all of a sudden I felt like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date other men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her "you know what" area? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/4bAYO everything got better.

Not only was I able to clear away all remnants of the herpes simplex virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to start dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me! This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience true love again. Now I hope that I can help others too by sharing this story.

Id just like to add that genital warts is a lifelong condition. Even though hes been treated, they can re-occur.

Another thing is at least hes had the decency to tell you before hand!

The best thing to do is go to your GUM clinic together and discuss is with the people who are in the know!

Good luck

1) Don't touch any of your soft parts, genital or peri-anal areas without having a wash first.
2) No you don't
3) Using a condom is ok
4) No

He needs to go to a GM clinic & get it sorted & you should go with him, to hold his hand if nothing else. You/he also needs to be on the lookout for the rest of his life as it can reoccur.

Don't be put off by it, just be sensible.

No it is not just spread by touch. No you don't have to boil the bedding. Yes you can still catch it while using a condom. But it is very very rare unless he is having an outbreak or feels an outbreak coming on. Just always use a condom when oral sex, sex , or anal sex. But it is vey unlikely you will get it if you don't do it while he is having an outbreak.
