Hello, 6 days ago I fractured my ankle (hairline fracture at the bottom tip of the fibula). They gave me a temporary cast at the emergency room and a day later an orthopedic surgeon gave me a splinter looking thing (long padded "boards" on each side of my leg held by two straps that wrap around my leg with velcro). My ankle has full movility with this, but it does protect the tender spot in case I hit it accidentally. My ankle is swollen and black but I'm in no pain unless I put pressure on my foot or touch the area. But I keep reading that people with similar fractures are immovilized with a cast or a boot. I was wondering if anyone had a similar breakage and what was used on the ankle... Thanks.

I just took my first Abilify 5mg tablet last night around 9:30 before bed. I have had an awful headache since. And everytime I try to get moving I get nauseated, lightheaded and have to lay back down. I've been in bed all day - just trying to get up now and I feel the headache coming back on. Supposed to start Lamictal next week then add an antidepressant in 1 month. Thing is if it's going to be this hard..... I don't know if I can stand it. Silly but I want to take my kids to see Shrek tomorrow and if I can't even get out of bed...ugggh. I took Zyprexa before at bedtime and it did knock me out the first day after but no headache and no nausea and then the next day I was fine. How quickly will these go away?

Can you help me? i have allergies (mainly in my nasal area and throat area), and I went to a field yesterday and was in the air a lot. Today I feel like I have a cold because my noce is kind of plugged and my throat is sore. This weekend i'm going somewhere with my family and I really want to be able to make it. i've done the whole gargle sat water thing today and I've had lots of vitamin c. What else can I do to get rid of the cold. (I'm not even sure if it's a cold)

I started using Depo about a month ago and have been bleeding ever since. It was kinda light, but still enough that I had to wear a tampon. I am heavier now, but that is because of my regular cycle. Does anyone know how long it takes to stop the breakthrough bleeding when starting Depo for the first time??

I'm having a baby boy on Wednesday and I'm still unsure whether to circumcise or not. It scares me because I don't know how I would take care of a circumcised penis or an uncircumcised one. I'm afraid if I do it, it's going to hurt him and I've seen pictures of how it looks afterwards and it looks really ugly and it looks painful. What do you think on this subject? Why or why not did you choose to or choose not to? also for men, what are the benefits or being or not being circumcised?

so i work at an office in a hotel, and my foot is swollen (long story, but i cant go home) so room service brought down 2 ice packs...one is an air tight sealed pack full of ice, the other is a "glacier ice gel refrigerant". she said "use that one, if you want, it's better..." bu the gel one is for packing to keep your food cold! and it says on the pack "DO NOT APPLY TO BODY" i found out its a pack for food online...but why would she give this to me if it says i shouldnt? should i try it, or just keep it for my lunches, and stick with the other ice pack? weird lady ....

I know my medication has something to do with it, but I overeat to the point where I can barely breathe. I know I'm depressed a lot. But if I eat a little bit or a moderate amount of food, I still feel like it's not enough, & I become afraid & worry, hoping that I won't pass out. & I get dizzy & weak a lot. It's like my psych medication is telling my brain to make me eat like a dog. How can I stop this?

I dont always get a stuffy nose when I first drink a beer but it does happend often. My fingers will sometimes swell up quite a bit as well (although this does not happen as often and usually happens later).Could this be an allergic reaction? It really dosent ever happen when I drink a mixed drink.
