I have the same goal too and this is what i do and recomend you to do......
*morning, do exersice on a empty stomach.
*eat your meal. make sure it does not contain sugar. make sure IT DOES contain protein, vitamin, calcium. a good idea for a meal would be granola with mangos and strawberries, oatmeal raisin bars, light shakes, yoplait light, or a slim fast choclate bar etc.. healthy stuff.
*eat a meal every three hours after that. make sure it is again healthy.
*do more exersice at noon (fast walking /jogging etc.)
*at night before bed, do about 30-35 sit ups.
*for entire week repeat schedule.
*sunday eat what you want, free day :) oh and good luck >**<

Loosing 15 lbs over the summer seems like a realistic goal. Drink plenty of water, limit sugar and total fat intake, and excerise. Be weary of sugar, it is in everything. Try to stay away from foods containing high-fructose corn syrup.
Good luck

try weight lifting
you don't have to do too much weight if you don't want to get big, aim for about 15 -20 reps per set
muscle helps burn fat passively and will speed up metabolism.
and alternate between cardio and strength training, that's probably the best.
you probably won't lose too much weight since you'll be building some muscle, but you'll look much more fit
oh and when strength training make sure to keep range of motion as much as possible, it burns more calories in the long run

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

Workout daily and do a healthy version of Atkins or The South Beach diet. Basically, cut carbs and sweets. Good luck! I am doing it too.

Run and keep your heart rate up for at least an hour. If you don't like running, sex is also a viable alternative and a lot more fun. Just remember, at least an hour of elevated heart rate with whatever you're doing.
