Can you help me? i have allergies (mainly in my nasal area and throat area), and I went to a field yesterday and was in the air a lot. Today I feel like I have a cold because my noce is kind of plugged and my throat is sore. This weekend i'm going somewhere with my family and I really want to be able to make it. i've done the whole gargle sat water thing today and I've had lots of vitamin c. What else can I do to get rid of the cold. (I'm not even sure if it's a cold)

Treat the allergies and see if your cold improves. Runny nose (post nasal drip) can irritate your throat and make it sore. My best guess is it's allergies. There are so many good OTC allergy medications that don't make you drowsy. If the medication helps - it's allergies if not then you have to let the cold virus run it's course. Good luck!

I know zinc lozenge tablets are usually helpful to recover fast, might keep taking allergy medicine to make sure it doesn't get worse

good luck

Try steam. And if you can handle them, hot spicy foods and raw onions: There's something in those that cold germs don't like.

Good luck!
