My daughter was running in track 4 weeks ago and twisted her ankle, but it seemed ok after rest. Two days later she stopped running the 100 to check her time with the coach. As she turned, she heard her ankle "pop". It was very bruised and swollen. We went to the Dr. and she was given an ankle brace to wear, but did not take xrays. After a couple weeks her ankle still hurt and was swollen. She had a 6hr dance class one Saturday were she was just "stepping Out" the dances to learn her placement, and after about 3 hours her ankle felt better. When she came home the swelling was down. Do you think her ankle was out of place? Now today during a walk, she lost her balance and fell. Again, lots more swelling than before, I imagine bruising to come. I have brought her to the Dr. for an initial visit and checkup. Now I have her scheduled to see the chiropractor tomorrow thinking last time it was out of place. What do you think, broken? Our daughters name is "Crash" and she is accident prone!

I wanna know if anyone knows of any that really work? Please be honest. I am asking this question for my wife. She goes to the gym everyday and she works out for an hour atleast smetimes two hours. She has cut back on her eating, sometimes she hardly eats. She lost 20lbs and ha been at a stand still ever since. I don't know how to help her, she has been doing this for over a year, I think bc she has not so good results she ma give up. I hear her crying all the time and I don't know how to help her. She just gets ashamed of her weight. It's getting the best of her. I thought maybe there is something out there that could give it a little drop. I don' know why she is at this stand still. Yes she does actually work out because I go with her. Please anyone with a real and sincere honest answer I would love to hear it.Thank You

Is there a way to incorporate weight loss and exercise into my life without having to join weight watchers or other services like that? I guess I am just looking for some ideas because I want to get healthy and want to do it in a way that I know will keep me motivated and on task.

In my previous questions I stated I wasn't ready for the gym, and now I am.
My question is (remember I AM on the chunky/fat side)
What do women wear to the gym? Everytime I go the women are wearing sport bra's and spandex shorts and thats it!
I can't wear that!!!!
What do NORMAL women wear, that aren't going there to have men look at them?

Well, today in my 1st period class we were playing Wiffle Ball and I ran to second and I think I step weird or when the guy tagged me I fell down. I didn't even realize he had hit me, and all I felt was pain in my ankle my friend helped me up and i could bend my ankle a little and put slight pressure on it but.. it hurt and when the teams switched sides I went to the teacher and told her. She asked me if i felt it twist.. and truthfully I have no idea if I felt it twist due to the caught up in the moment of wiffle ball. My teacher gave my some ice and I kept my ankel on ice till I had to go to my next class. But, I cant really tell if my ankle is swollen or not. it still hurts to move it like over 6 hours later since I hurt it around 9:30ish this morning. I can put slight pressure it just hurts alot and I can sorta walk on it.. I think iIeither sprained it or just pulled half a dozen muscles around the area.. I would like your oppion about what I have done to my ankle.

My father suffers from chronic pain daily. He has neuropothy, degenterive disc disease and arthitis. He is unable to take any NSAIDs due to his severe stomach problems and actually bled out on Celebrex. Are there any new innovative treatments or recommendations that you know about?

Hello, I just got ankle arthroscopy done today and I was told that I had a severe ankle sprain with reactive synovitis. I was wondering what that meant and about how long my recovery would be. Also about how long I would be on crutches without any weight bearing. Thank you!

I'm doing a report on sex offenders for law and government(class), and i notice whenever the word sex offender is mentioned, the flame fest begins. Seems current laws are aimed at offenders after they have been caught, and then punished over and over again for something they 'might' commit, which seems unconstitutional. I'm starting to think that it would be better if society backed up a minute and looked at stopping offenders BEFORE they offend. If the lynchmob wasn't so heavy, we could actually have commercials and ads like we do for depresion and stuff, listing the signs of a potential offender and where to go for help...much like we do for drug addicts, ADD, alcoholism and other illnesses. Seems like if we treated it more like an illness, more would be willing to have it treated as an illness. Hence, preventing abuse and saving lots of tax dollars currently spend on 'feel good' laws that many claim dont work. Doesn't this seem more feasible than waiting until the abuse happens?

i am dieting and am only consuming 1400 calories a day (i would have to consume 2500 to maintain my current weight). if i ate them all at one time, would i gain weight? because i really don't like to eat in the morning or during the afternoon, but i like to eat around 4:30 for some reason and i tend to just pig out eating like 1200 calories then and at no other time all day.

Once when my sister was in the hospital the nurses did not take care of her as I would have liked. They were always chatting or going to lunch. They did not speak to us...not even a hi or anything. I find this rude and uncaring...it bothers me but I never say anything.

My friend seems to think that pain killers, lets say powerful prescription ones, only work for things like "broken bones". She has boils that hurt when she moves in certain positions and I'm trying to tell her that pain pills would help.

I have been advised there is no cure for tinnitus! I cannot survive awful ringing sounds in the ears? Surely there must be some cure available somewhere?
