Well, today in my 1st period class we were playing Wiffle Ball and I ran to second and I think I step weird or when the guy tagged me I fell down. I didn't even realize he had hit me, and all I felt was pain in my ankle my friend helped me up and i could bend my ankle a little and put slight pressure on it but.. it hurt and when the teams switched sides I went to the teacher and told her. She asked me if i felt it twist.. and truthfully I have no idea if I felt it twist due to the caught up in the moment of wiffle ball. My teacher gave my some ice and I kept my ankel on ice till I had to go to my next class. But, I cant really tell if my ankle is swollen or not. it still hurts to move it like over 6 hours later since I hurt it around 9:30ish this morning. I can put slight pressure it just hurts alot and I can sorta walk on it.. I think iIeither sprained it or just pulled half a dozen muscles around the area.. I would like your oppion about what I have done to my ankle.

Yeah you probably sprained the ankle. What you need to do is continue to ice the ankle by placing an ice bag directly on the skin for 15 mins every couple of hours, take an over the counter anti-inflammatory (Aleve, Advil, etc.) as directed on the bottle and try not to walk around too much. Do this for the next 24-48 hours. You should see some improvement in the ankle over the next 24-48 hours...if not then you should see a doctor. If it is a sprain then the ankle will be mostly pain free in 2-3 weeks, and completely healed in 4-8 wks depending on the severity of the sprain.

If you pulled a muscle you wouldn't be able to walk and you would be in extremely severe pain. When a muscle is "pulled" it is really pulled apart from its neighbors. It is most likely a strain, so put your ankle in a bucket or ice daily and take ibuprofen. If it still hurts badly after a few days go to a doctor.

Good luck!

sprained ankles are going to hurt quite a bit. Continue to use ice packs for ten minutes At a time. you need to see your medical doctor to make sure what is wrong So you can get the correct medical attention and medication.

i'd allow it relax besides. this is tricky because labs are very at danger of ripping their cruciate ligaments contained in the hind legs... If this is not any more beneficial ideal on relax and occasional dose aspirin, be particular to take him in.
