find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

1. Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
2. Walk instead of drive to the store down the street.
3. Go for a walk (if you have a dog, hey, walk the dog every night) every day after work or school to unwind. You just might meet nice neighbors or find some beautiful places around town as a bonus.
4. Get a bicycle and ride it to the park with friends or family.
5. Take breaks at work or school and practice deep breathing, and stretch regularly throughout the day.
6. Switch from chips and crackers to nuts and dried fruits for your snacks. Reduce your soda or coffee intake to one per day and drink a fruit juice or a V-8 instead. Try to incorporate more vegetables into your meals, and eat them first, then eat your treat.
7. Get up and dance whenever you have the chance.
8. Wait one hour to two hours after eating to exercise, or exercise first, then eat.
9. Forgive yourself your failures and try again. I always hear, "Oh yeah, I tried it but it didn't work." I never hear, "I tried it and am still working on it!" Try again. And again. And again, until you figure it out.
10. Try making one change a week instead of all your changes at once. Still eat your food, but one week take the stairs. Then add the next week reducing your sodas and coffee and drinking your water. Then add to that eating more vegetables. That allows you time to try to make the changes one at a time, rather than making the changes all at once and then quitting because you can't do it all at once.
11. Good Luck and post your results!

Wait 2 hrs after eating. drink coffee. wait 5-10 minutes for the caffeine to kick in. And then you excercise. Caffeine increases metabolism by up to 30%. Meaning, if normally u lose 100 calories, you'll lose 130 if u drank coffee earlier. But use the sugar substitute. Trust me, I lost 20 lbs that way. Now i'm a size 5...which isnt really skinny, but better than what i used to be.

I typically wait an hour after eating to do any strenuous excercise. I agree with the responder who commented about drinking caffinated drinks about 10 minutes prior to beginning. It gives you a great energy boost and helps you maintain a higher lever of intensity, especially when doing cardio.
