I have a hard time understanding this horrible addiction. My question is, how long does it usually take a junkie to wake up and see what they're doing to themselves (I know there's not a set time or anything)? What does it usually take to make them wake up? Is there any kind of a statistic for this?

Please, serious answers only.

I work in a very small office, basically only 3-4 people. I work hard and do a lot of travel, but due to lack of written policies etc, mistakes are sometimes made regarding logging hours etc. This sometimes leads to hostile confrontations between me and my employer and I have twice actually burst into tears during such confrontations (oddly enough, today was once, and exactly one year ago was the last time).

Most of the time I am pretty stoic, but have cried infrequently during situations where I am stunned by being unexpectedly dumped, being attacked by friendly forces in the military, or being attacked by a boss I was doing a good job for. I chalk it down to being unable to handle the sudden change between what I expect or deserve and what is actually happening.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing? Also importantly, does anyone have advice for how to avoid breaking down so embarassingly?

I understand how some, or even most of them can be bad for you. I know that all those "quick fixes" for being overweight are unrealistic and bad for you, and that most people just gain back the weight. But what about pills that help you control your appetite while you eat healthy and exercise? How can they all be so horrible, when they're over the counter drugs? How bad can it be? lf it was really that bad, they'd be outlawed, right? It just doesn't make sense.

I have a toothache and won't be able to go to the Dentist until around July, when i'm back home and out of school. So, I take Ibuprofen quite often. It's actually my medicine of choice, for headaches which I get quite often, and any other aches and pains I might have. I never exceed the six tablet in 24 hours rule, but I do take them just about everyday. They are the only things I can find that alleviate the pain. Is it dangerous to take this everyday? Or not a problem? I follow directions at all time.

Orthotics are used to force my foot in the "proper position" while I wear my shoes to help me walk. If my feet are used to this "proper position"and I decide to go barefoot or wear footwear that cannot support orthotics and this "proper position" is now impossible, what will happen to my feet? What I mean is will wearing orthotics cause me unwanted problems from forcing my foot to work a certian way only part of the time and letting it go to an "improper position" any other time or would it be better to keep things as they are and just not use orthotics in the first place?

Are there any opticians out there that don't wear glasses or contact lenses (and haven't had correction surgery), and have perfect sight? I haven't ever met an optician that has perfect vision - I'm just curious!

By the way, the m.s. is not at bad as it used to be and she shows almost no symptoms at all.(she took some perscription shots for a year and now its in 'remission) is there a chance the m.s. is gone or will it come back?
