HI, sorry for answers like your first responder. You could have a pinched nerve in your neck that affects the hand. Try putting ice on your neck, especially on the left side and if there is some inflamation in there that is causing compression of your nerve, the ice should reduce the swelling. This could be caused by sleeping wrong or your neck being out of alignment. I am a big believer in seeing a chiropractor, if you haven't seen one before, make sure you get input from others on one that is good, and they may be able to help your problem. They can also adjust the joints in your hand or elbow that may have some restriction in them that may be causing the pinching of the nerve that runs into your hand. I had this problem also and that is what worked for me. If it doesn't go away, get it checked just to make sure it is something more serious.

I've had experiences like this, I'm sure almost everyone
has, only it didn't last so long....there's a reason for almost
everything and if this thing doesn't get better, I would
suggest you see your family doctor and if he sees fit,
he will probally refer you to a neurologist....sounds like
a condition effecting the nerves...better get it looked at
by a doc. Good Luck.
