Cast off doesn't mean the arm is totally healed. I'm sure the doctor is going to tell you to stay away from contact sports and anything to do with anything that involves contact with that arm. You don't want unnecessary surgery that would mean a plate to hold thing together, believe me. That would mean two to three years until it really heals, then the plate may have to come off, then healing again, see what I mean?

So, cool it and do what the doctor says.

Just because your cast is off doesn't mean you can do anything you want. Take it easy for a while and stretch the muscles. Your arm will feel weird about the first week. You could probably do some easy activities in gym but you shouldn't do push-ups.

Depending on age ( I assume you are a teenager) your fracture is well healed at 4 weeks out. However, your health provider may restrict vigorous activity for an additional 2 weeks just to be safe. Or s/he may insist you wear a brace if you had a wrist/lower forearm fracture and want to play foot ball.

Check with your doctor.

Chances are, you'll have to build up your strength gradually as not to re-injure your arm or create a new injury.

Both the bone tissue and soft tissue will have to re-strengthen to its pre-injury status.
