I understand how some, or even most of them can be bad for you. I know that all those "quick fixes" for being overweight are unrealistic and bad for you, and that most people just gain back the weight. But what about pills that help you control your appetite while you eat healthy and exercise? How can they all be so horrible, when they're over the counter drugs? How bad can it be? lf it was really that bad, they'd be outlawed, right? It just doesn't make sense.

It's different than cigarrettes and alcohol. They let kids buy these over the counter.. Besides, nobody denies the health issues with smoking and drinking. And what about diet pills that don't have stimulants? I've seen a few. They don't say they're miracle workers or anything, just a little push to help you.

Q: But what about pills that help you control your appetite while you eat healthy and exercise?

A: You are right, there is absolutely nothing wrong with them if you don't abuse them. Help with losing weight is a good thing. I think people forget that being overweight can kill you.

There are two all natural diet pills that are safe and have no side effects. They are Cha de Bugre and Hoodia Gordonii.

Cha de Bugre, is a new weight loss supplement that is growing in popularity and is similar to Ma Huang (Ephedrine) without any of the bad effects. Cha de Bugre is from Brazil and has been used there safely for centuries. Cha de Bugre provides energy, fat burning and appetite suppression that benefit weight loss. Cha de Bugre also has additional uses that are known in Brazil that include being used as a mild diuretic, a cellulite reducer, aides in reducing herpes simplex outbreaks and a heart tonic. You can find more about it at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/cha_de_bugre.html

Hoodia Gordonii is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a South African cactus that the bushmen have eaten there for thousands of years. You need to make sure you get a strong pure hoodia that is certified to be genuine. Check out Totalink's unbiased Hoodia comparison at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodia_comparison.html in the "Confidence" column it will indicate if the brand is "Certified". These Hoodia brands have the credentials to back up their product. Also in that column it will indicate if the brand is "Returnable". These Hoodia brands allow you to return opened bottles and get your money back. I think this indicates that a company has confidence in their product that it works.

There are also brands that mix Cha de Bugre with Hoodia Gordonii and other weight loss herbs like Green Tea that can increase both fat burning and appetite suppression.

I have written a lot of articles on Hoodia. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name “Andrew Aitaken” to find them.

Remember, you should always consult your physician before taking any diet pill or weight loss supplement.

There could possibly be some that are not bad, I dont know. but look at all the medications that had ephedrine in it. It was supposed to be fine, then later everyone found out its bad for your heart. They don't sell it now but how many people have damage to their heart b/c they took it and thinking it was safe? There have been others, too. Is is worth it to risk damage to your heart? no way! lots of water and eating the right foods will help a lot with controlling your appetite.

I do not take pills to loose weight, I work out and eat right. Diet pills can become very dangerous for your body, there was a pill recently that was on recall cause it can cause sudden death or harmful stuff. Pills mess with your body and is not good for you, period.

They end up making you depressed.. they mess with your brain chemicals [it turns off the hunger button] but it also can turn off the happy button ... some people get really emotional and irratible while on these things.. theyre also bad for your heart... they make your heart beat fast, and make you nervous... and some appetite suppresants are so strong that people just stop eating [ which makes you retain all your fat in your body..] so just do it the right way. im a thin girl, that tried diet pills.. nothing but bad side effects followed. trust me. <3

if cigarettes and liquor weere bad for people, they'd be outlawed too, right?
it really depends on what diet pills you are talking about and how much you use them, and what other pills you take with them, etc. it is just not worth the risk when you can do it naturally.

Not necessarily. Many of them are technically marketed as "nutritional supplements", which aren't regulated by the FDA. And many of them contain high levels of caffeine or other herbal stimulants that have side effects that aren't listed on the labels. This is a huge loophole that the government needs to close.
