I am a 22 year old male, since just over two days ago i've had connstant aches and pains in my back and legs as well as having a near constant headache. I haven't slept for the past two nights and last night i was sick and nearly fainted. Anyone have any ideas because its driving me nuts?!

It interrupts the flow of blood to the heart and may encourage varicose veins....

1 in 4 adults have veins problems... (women are 4 to 10 times more likely) developed them...

Tips:

1) Don't sit for lengthly periods of time. Take short, walking breaks in between...

2) Rotate the ankles and flex the toes while sitting

3) Eat a high fibre diet.. to avoid constipation

4) Raise legs 6 to 12 inches above to heart while sleeping..

ive been taking it for bipolar for about a year now. its had its ups and its downs.

ups: it has stabilized my moods, they aren't as extreme.

downs: when i first started i got dizzy and also got the rash. i went off it once by accident and got a seizure. then my face suddenly became oily. i cant drink with my friends because ill get sleepy or worse. im pretty boring, complacent, and dont enjoy my life like i used to kind of like a zombie. i am a prisoner of this schedule of taking the medication and going to sleep at the same time or else ill get dizzy and tired.

i told my psych but she said its either stable mood and being boring or unstable mood swings and bouts of depression.

i want to ween off this and take something else but im afraid if i do and change my mind the lamictal wont have the same effect as before (ive heard). also im afraid that my brain is now dependent on this drug to replenish itself.
anyone with experience ar advice?

Julia in responding question on the side effect of effexor xr (I dont know what it is) stating that Panic Attack is a learned behaviour.
Why is it? I thought I just comes naturally or attack certain people. I took E in parties sometimes I got panic especially when it has too much upper. Downer and tranquilizer-based E fits me.

I've recently been diagnosed with 'mixed' Bipolar Disorder and have been advised to take Lithium long term. I've been given 2 weeks to decide if I want to try the treatment or not. My family is very concerned as they think they will 'loose' their daughter. They have heard many stories of how Lithium can have a zombie effect on the patient and they end up loosing the sparkly bits about their personality that everyone loves. My pyschiatrist says if it happens it happens...(not very helpful!) Obviously everyone reacts differently to medication but is there anyone out there who has tried it and found it helpful? Did you turn into a zombie??

When mosquitoes suck blood from bodies, does the blood that is sucked contain components like glucose and what so ever? Or it's just pure blood? It's been shown that some people, i.e. homeless, poor and old people without a steady income have been known to eat dog and cat food. Mostly the moist variety. Do you think anyone has considered the fact that some humans may be injesting this rat poison tainted food also?
