Some reasons for a delayed period could include a change in birth control or any hormonal medication and/ or dramatic loss of weight / low body fat percentage.

I also found another answer which is listed below. This answer is taken directly from the planned parenthood website. You can set up an appointment with them or your local gyno, if you are quite worried.

It could be a few things, all of which are important to consider. Your delayed period could be caused by stress, pregnancy, or a medical problem. Many will tell you that stress can affect your period. If you've been really stressed out - as I imagine you have been - that could delay your period or throw your normal cycle out of whack. However, it has been a couple of months since you had your period, which suggests that it could be something else. For that reason, our medical staff strongly feels that you should consider either going to your doctor or making an appointment here at Planned Parenthood to get checked out to sure everything is okay.

Although you say you took pregnancy tests already, if you come to Planned Parenthood, a clinician will probably perform a pregnancy test in our lab just to verify the results. If you haven't had your annual pelvic exam and Pap test, you also can take care of that while you are here. Whether you decide to go to your family doctor or come to Planned Parenthood, you should make an appointment as soon as you can because if you are pregnant and you plan to continue the pregnancy, you will need to begin prenatal care as soon as possible. Be sure to tell your clinician exactly what you are experiencing so he/she can properly diagnose the issue. If you are pregnant, you have options and your doctor or Planned Parenthood can provide you with information to help you make decisions that are right for you. If you are not pregnant and you are not using regular birth control, you may want to consider it. Of course, it's always your choice. We're here to assist you whatever you choose.

Save your money. Knowing a few days one way or the other makes very little difference.

Stress seems like a good possibility. Your period is not a
an Atomic Clock it is irregular and will be to some extent most of your life.

I had the same thing a couple of years ago. then it came 3 weeks late. Sometimes it just happens. Wait a week, then test again.
