Get yourself one of those shower seats. You might be able to find one at the thrift store, if not go to a large pharmacy. That way you can just swing your legs out of the shower and grab your crutches that you've placed just outside the shower.

Why don't you get those chair and the wrongs that help elderly people when they have to climb in and out. I'm sure you could rent them. Ask your physician if they know where you can get them(same place where you got your crutches???)

i have the same problem so i simply erect my tripod so i can soap up in relevant comfort and still have 1 hand free to tinker about with.
that is a master stroke.
all you need to do is splash out on a tripod.

my dad lost his leg about a year ago
when he was he was ready to come out of rehab, he used a plastic seat (garden type)
untill he coul use the bath!
