Professional instructors and trainers are great but all answers are greatly appreciated. I am looking into possibly a career choice of fitness instruction or personal training. I have no experience and recently joined a gym. I live in CT. I was wondering if there are schools or classes you take before you go for certification and perhaps where I should look to go within my area? Any advice to get me started on where to go to learn and work my way up from there is helpful and appreciated. Thank you!

the blister curves up and then in the center it has all these cracks in the skin. its really wierd. it just looks like the skin was diced on top. and the smooth parts of the blister come until the circle in the center where the cracks start to form. um.. the blister is about 1 cm thick.

Today I've found i'm very light headed, and dizzy. It feels like when you stand up too quickly. But its worst when I lean foward or look down. Infact I'm getting dizzy now.

I even ended up taking a long nap and laying down made me really dizzy, especially closing my eyes

I don't know if they're related but my stomach's been really bothering me too.

I've been dieting lately, working out alot too and recently lost 10 lbs.

Any ideas as to what it is or how I can get rid of it?

The skin on my face is flaky with like this white residue. I don't know if it's dry or just flaky. I tried moisturizers and they seem to cover it up, but once I get out the shower they little white flakes/ residue is there. I have oily skin too, by the way. What is this exactly? Does anyone have an idea?

Went to ER and was admitted. After 4 days of test ordered by his regular MD they only found that he had an infection and took antibiotic. His heart rate is still alittle eratic. He thinks he has reflux and needs Nexium. With all the test they ran if he had that wouldn't that have showed up?He had the test for it. He says he still doesn't feel quite right. We think he needs a second opinion from a heart Dr. Something just isn't right with this picture. What do you think?

So I recently made a lifestyle change and went on a diet, my husband sat there and ate like a couch potato everyday and I was so proud of myself exercising and dieting, UNTIL he decided he wanted the same thing than me and he started going on the treadmill just like me but superseding what I did. I walk he runs and I run and he runs faster. I don't think he does it on purpose but I am jealous that was like my thing and now he came along and took it. Is it ok for me to be jealous? I don't want him to lose weight faster then me or anything like that because then I will feel bad about myself. Remember men have the tendency to lose weight faster than women and he is running instead of walking.

I'm 13 and my mom says that i shouldn't lift weights. I don't do very strenuous exercise, just a little of each machine. She said that if i get muscles my height will not go up. she said to wait for my growth spurt until i lift weights. is she right????

I did some reading about my son's ADHD. As I'm leafing thru all the info I realize that I may have been suffering from this also. I spend the time to research the Mental health issue and allthe possible attached illnesses. I go to my General Practitioner. He gives me the run around. Tells me I haven't followed through on most of his advice and I need to pay maore attention. (hello didn't I say ADHD)

He gives me a song and dance. After a dispute he offers to refer to a psychologist so that I can get some kind of diagnosis. Fine at least I'm getting somewhere. But low and behold the wait will be up to 3 months.

To get a jump on the whole thing I went to the local psych. hospital and spoke with the crisis team. They take my basic info and get my referal. The earliest psychiatrist appt is 2.5 wks away. Cool better than I thought. I spend the next 3 wks going to weekly appt's with the crisis team. All the while they are gathering info for my file. It's all a work in progress.
