No, stomach size stays the same, approximately the size of one to two of your fists. It's lack of the hormone, Leptin, that allows you to push past full and eat too much. Leptin is the hormone that says, "I'm full." Most obese people are Leptin resistant. The FDA may approve medication to restore balance sometime in the future. Suffice it to say, eating FEWER meals a day will increase Leptin. The reason for this is that most obese people are insulin resistant. Everytime an overweight person eats, they produce insulin, usually too much, unless they have become a Type II diabetic. As the insulin levels do their rollercoaster ride, the leptin sensitivity is compromised, therefore, hunger and fat storage is increased. Many overweight people eat less than their thin counterparts but are eating at the wrong time, and yes, sometimes overeating, but not always. Remember, thin people also overeat at times.

The key to seemingly shrinking the stomach is to eat 3 - 4 times a day and not overstuffing.

Fact, thats why they go and get their stomach stapled. The overeat over the years and it stretches the stomach out. They have to continue to eat excessively to feel full. Once they have the surgery they eat smaller portions and thats how they lose the weight.

True. your stomach shrinks or enlarges due to how much you eat. if you are constantly eating then your stomach will stretch to accomidate for the excess food. if you hardly eat then your stomach will shrink due to lack of nutrition. so yes, obese people do have larger stomachs. To prove it why do you think that people who give starving people food only start out with very little? Beacuse if they don't the starving peoples stomachs will reject the food b/c it's too much at one time and ultimetly kill them. so they start out with little food and then gradually work their way up to normal meals.

100% true. That's why doctors are so busy putting bands around their stomaches. But you have to know that Fat people who made their stomach stretched out and big overeating, they were not born with big stomaches.
