I was scared of the same thing when my braces came off. But as long as you've kept your teeth fairly clean and you haven't eaten a ton of things that stain teeth (such as ketchup, because the part with out braces will still be clean) you should be fine.

If you do notice some stains try crest white strips. I had yellowish teeth and my dentist recommended them to me and they are a fairly bright white now. They work amazingly well!! Well that, and brush your teeth regularly too.

Depending on how well you brush and depending on the types of food you eat (curry, tea, coffee) there will be some staining. How dark or light is variable. After they remove the brackets, they will polish your teeth to help remove any stains they can and make them look nice and bright. Usually the stains are very visable, if not gone with the polishing. Good luck!

Only if you didn't brush your teeth often. I had braces when I was a kid and had them just as long as you. I brushed my teeth three times a day and they were perfectly fine when I got them taken off. If they are stained just have them bleached.

well, they probably are stained. you should have listened to your orthodontist when he told you to improve your hygiene and you also should have brushed them more carefully and more often. it's ok though. they give you a whitening treatment when you get them off.
