I have been able to do this for as long as I remember, but only recently discovered that this ability is unusual. I thought everyone was able to do it! This ability means I can block off my nose from bad smells, or swim upside down without holding my nose or breathing out. When I do it, I can talk as if I have a cold.

I recently read about a synchronised swimmer who didn't need nose plugs because she had this same ability. It was from this article that I realised this is unusual. The article said that it's something to do with a nose valve reflex that most people lose as infants. Is that right?

As an aside, I also have a highly acute sense of smell. Could this be related to this ability?

Does anyone know about this ability? Now that I know it's unusual I'm intrigued as to how I can do it.

When i said the devil was in me it feels real. Like today for example i just found out i could twitch my cheek bone on command, anytime i want. Than i thought to myself maybe i can create a record in the guiness book of world records for twitching my cheek bone the longest or something. Than a minute later when i was twitching my cheek bone in the mirror, on the television they brought up some news coverage about some one trying to sent a record in the guiness book of world records. And this is coming off of 2 years of being possesed by my television with similar thing happening like this. And i just had my worst day today. Is it just timing or something.

Any success stories?

I've had the following symptoms for, well, forever, and NO ONE knows what's going on:

Dizzy spells, accompanied by nausea, followed by dry-heaving, shaking, passing-out, and tingly feet and hands.

These little attacks usually happen at least every second day and afterwards I am outta commission for hours. So, these symptoms are kind of ruining my life.

Any ideas??

Been tested for thyroid probs, sugar and insulin probs, vitamin and mineral deficiencies, GERD, basic liver function, multiple myeloma, hormone probs, H. Pylori, some autoimmune disorders....and more. Have seen at least 5 different docs about all this. But, after waiting for appointments and after enduring tests, nothing gets solved and nothing works. Then, well, I end up waiting to see someone else.

One doc suspected gastritis but am waiting for an endoscopy and colonoscopy (not until May), since I haven't responded to at least 7 different treatments that are supposed to treat the condition.
