Well, technically no. Lemon juice is not a dieter's dream, however, I have heard that people who drink water with lemon juice in it are more likely to lose weight than people who simply drink water. This is due to the fact that the lemon juice makes you feel fuller even though you are just drinking water. As for just eating whole lemons, I cannot say. One thing to watch for if you chose to add lemons to your diet is Acid Reflex and dental health. Lemon's have a high amount of acid in them and may damage the enamel of your teeth or increase the acid in your digestive system, as with any acidic food. Thanks for the question!

Although lemon juice is acidic it will actually help your body to become more alkaline and that makes it easier to lose weight. Lemon juice is nutritious, the juice of a large lemon can provide you with 75% of the RDI of vitamin C. It does have some diuretic activity, but then so does coffee, tea, onion, parsley and a few others.
Lemons are associated with anti-cancer and improved cardiovascular activity.

Lemon juice isn't a magic potion that will help you lose weight. You have to take in less energy than you put out in order to lose weight. In other words, eat fewer calories and exercise more.
