After accidentally falling, rushed to ER, surgery, recovery, rehabilitation, transferred from one place to another, surviving a couple of after-shock strokes, partially blind and unable to walk, eat or dress alone--my 86-year-young Grandmother seems more like a zombie. She rarely recognizes anyone.

My mother and I had laser surgery to improve our eye sight at the same time. My eyesight dramatically improved by the next day, but 3 weeks later, my mother's eyesight is still blurred. The optician is talking about re-treating. Has anyone had surgery and their eyesight has improved after this length of time?

I ma terrified of empty swimming pools. If i see something on the tv with an empty pool i have to look away. Like on the movie con air where that guy is sitting in the empty pool with the little girl and they are singing that song. I could think of nothing worse than being in an empty pool. I think it has something to do with the walls. I know its not really a problem because i would never really have a reason to be in an empty pool i just think its really weird.

Why do you people say these things? Don't you know that being religiously devoted and spiritual isn't enough especially since there is no Jesus! Maybe if my issues were fake and I could just pray and take some St. John's Wort or Prozac. At any rate, I found a better way out. I'm happy now and I did it on my own! My question is, why do people say this? Are they just ignorant or trying to do the cult thing and prey on the weak and get them to join their religion?

I weigh 218 pounds now, I'm 5'2'' (24 yrs old, female). I checked my BMI and I'm obese. Very close to being morbidly obese.
I reversed the BMI formula, and it says that I have to weigh between 106 and 142 pounds. That means losing almost half my weight!
Is it realistic to expect to lose that much weight?
For now, I would be happy to weigh 169 pounds, because then I would be "only" overweight, but not obese. :(
I'm kind of overwhelmed by the state I'm in...
