I ma terrified of empty swimming pools. If i see something on the tv with an empty pool i have to look away. Like on the movie con air where that guy is sitting in the empty pool with the little girl and they are singing that song. I could think of nothing worse than being in an empty pool. I think it has something to do with the walls. I know its not really a problem because i would never really have a reason to be in an empty pool i just think its really weird.

I thought about that but i dont have a problem with small spaces and i cant even wear goggles in the pool because i cant look at the slope as it goes to the deep end because it reminds me what it looks like when its empty.

I just looked on the phobia list and there is Bathophobia- Fear of depth. I think this might have something to do with it maybe..

I think what you have its a modified version of claustrophobia because what gives you fear is the fact that you are trapped in a reduced space and there is an exit but you cant reach it. I dont know what name it has but thats what you suffer.

Is it actually the empty pool that gives you the creeps? I'm thinking it could have something to do with the color maybe? Most empty pools are a teal like color and for some reason I'm terrorfied of it. Just giving you some insight that maybe it wasn't the empty pool???

in italien they say sofre the verigine it means that you don't like looking down from hight plcese or seeing thing that are so low and deep. probaly you feel that they are sucking you and that you are falling just donot look or else make your self belive that you are safe it is not very easy cause i as well have a phobis from the dark so it is quite commen in having a phobia i am very scare of the dark and i try and try not to be scared but i am good luck to you to try to get rid off this phobia good luck!!! xxxx
