Health - 16 March 2007

Mom is in treatment for cancer, just got home from the hospital after months. Was normal range last night but now is around 100.4 to 100.6 but feels 'fine'. Any ideas? Should I be worried or see if it persists?

I have bad acne and i have been on medication but found it dosent work and have tried benzac which has the same stuff in a pro active, i use s special soap and always wash my face, what is the best way to clear it up?

i neeeeeed to gain weight back
i am 16 5 foot 3 inches and 98 lbs . i need to gain atleast 5 lbs back . i do not want to get flabby though =[ idk how to gain the weight back . today i ate

a 70 cal. yogurt

about a 350 egg and cheese on a english muffin

a 240 bowl of soup

a chicken caesar salad

and right before i went to bed i ate stuff from the salad bar like onion cucumbers grapes tomatoes lettuce and beans .. etc

how many calories do you think all of this is ?

how many calories should i be eating a day ?

is this enough calories today ??
what are the right foods to eat to gain weight but still stay toned ??


PS does instant black coffee have calories ?? like tasters choice ??

I think I suffer from tunnel vision thinking. For example, tonight I undercooked my moms salmon steak, I have already apologised a couple of times, but now I'm still thinking of it. I know this isn't normal. Any suggestions (serious only) on how to get over this type of behavior?

I am about to take a sleep aid for the first time. I have refused to take any before, but after so much lost sleep lately I have given in. I've always been terrified that it wouldn't allow to me fully wake if my son cried out (don't worry, he's 9), or the fire alarm went off, or a burglar broke in, etc. I'm also worried it won't allow me to properly wake and I will sleep in excessively or my son won't be able to wake me.

I am taking Equate (wal-mart generic) extra strength, but 1/2 a pill 50mg of that diphen hydro stuff that is in every kind I picked up.

Any advice on what to expect, how/when best to take it?

my 16 year old daughter has ben having stomach pain for over a year.When this started we thought that it may be stress over school.We went to see a phyciatrist and he counseled her and put her on prozac for depression.after far too long I realized this was physical.
we went to her doctor he did blood tests couldn't find anything that would cause nausea and pain.after eating the pain gets worse.she stays home when her friends go places ,she wants to go but feels too sick.
we have gone to a gastronologist,he has found a small hiatal hernia,inflammed esphogus,she has a high bacteria in her small intestine and her fructose breathing test shows fructose intolerance .
I have read that the high bacteria can cause nausea & pain but the doctor says it will not.I have read that antibiotics work 50 to 60 percent of the time .
her gallbladder is fine and all tests come back negative.
my child is suffering and I need help.will the bacteria cause pain & nausea also she is tired alot.

ok so, i want to loose weight so i started going to the gym. Yea but i just cant help myself from eating, so i burn lets say 300-400 calories, come home and eat 600-700 so its pointless. so i tried making myself throw up, so to my surprise i have absolutley no gag-reflex, ( trust me iv tried long toothbrush's ) So now what?! im 13, male, 5'6-5'7 and to embarresed to say my weight.

Many of you have been judgemental because of my desire to do well in dental school through trying to increase my focus. I tried Adderall once which is why I mentioned that one specifically in looking for an MD to write me a script. Have I been diagnosed? No. Did it help when I took it? Absolutely. I studied for 8 hour straight and aced my exam. Who is to say I don't have an attention deficit issue? and regardless, what is the harm in trying out medicine that helps one focus? Wouldn't you want your dentist to have used all the resources available to help him/her achieve the highest level of knowledge he/she is able to attain? Now I can't tell the MD that I tried Adderall and it worked. Once I took antibiotics without a prescription and they didn't work. When my throat started bleeding, I had to go to the emergency clinic at my school. They were not pleased.
