I think I suffer from tunnel vision thinking. For example, tonight I undercooked my moms salmon steak, I have already apologised a couple of times, but now I'm still thinking of it. I know this isn't normal. Any suggestions (serious only) on how to get over this type of behavior?

What I think you might have is obsessive thinking. Do you keep ruminating, replaying it over and over in your mind, and jumping from thought to thought? If you have trouble concentrating on other things, and keep obsessing on the same thing, that's very common.

I have this, and it's anxiety driven, and some meds do help, and therapy. Therapy helped me see that I was doing that, and now I can 'catch' myself. When I realize I am thinking about the 'thing', whatever it is, over and over, I stop myself.
It's a work in progress.

Also, I think those of us who's self esteem could stand improvement tend to do this; we worry about what other's think and tend to be people pleasers, so we have trouble dropping it and moving on when we disappoint ourselves.

Hope this helps, and don't be so hard on yourself. Maybe you just had a one time thing about salmon. :)
Good luck to you!

I don't think that is tunnel vision thinking, sounds more like obsessing. The meal is over and done with, you said you're sorry, now it's time to move on. I don't know how you "get over" that type of behavior, it may be just a part of who you are.
