Why do you people say these things? Don't you know that being religiously devoted and spiritual isn't enough especially since there is no Jesus! Maybe if my issues were fake and I could just pray and take some St. John's Wort or Prozac. At any rate, I found a better way out. I'm happy now and I did it on my own! My question is, why do people say this? Are they just ignorant or trying to do the cult thing and prey on the weak and get them to join their religion?

Haha, stronger faith? Trust me, my faith was very strong. I was considering doing evangelical work and then alas, I found the way, the truth and the light.
I do agree, it's a psychological thing. Having faith can change one's thinking and even give some people the strength, but that has nothing to do with a higher spiritual power as much as it has to do with a placebo effect.

Welcome to the club. These 'Faith' mongers don't get it. All the faith in the world won't cure mental illness. And they don't seem to understand that doctors and psychiatrists and medication can be considered God's instruments. I have been very involved in church and religion in the past. God never worked a miracle and cured me of being bi-polar. But my psychiatrist has prescribed treatment that is really helping.

Well don't we sound cheery like the answer you gave to the shadow of a girl. if you really wanted to you would of done it by now, not true, do not talk about things you do not understand lady. no wonder you are so good in divorce and marraige. Anyway, there is a Jesus, if you believe or not, i just do not give a shi* about your believe or what you think religion is about. Cause i really do not think that you ever did believe, so maybe that is your problem. I have seen mircles, and i have seen the lord help others, and every day there are mircles out there that most people do not even see, cause they want something big to happen. Well he said he was done doing that for you people. So I am a believier in God, and Christ, i do believe that there is a religion war going on , and that should not be, cause basically if they like it or not they are all worshiping the same god. Maybe by a different name, but he is the same god, and Jesus is the same in over 50 different countries , even thought they may call him by a different name, and his clothing different. Life mag . did a study on that, and had the pictures from those different countries to show, but that was a long time ago. There is no magic pill or wand neither, so do not pull that on me , i am happy you have found a way to be happy now on you own, that i respect, but please do not tear down or apart others believes. Maybe that is why your prays have not been answered, or maybe they have been and you just have not realized it. I do not see God as a cult thing, but i will give you the fact that yes some religions will try anything to get you to turn to their ways. I do not believe in that neither, that is wrong, that was not the way it was meant to be. So i am happy you have did it on your own, cause a lot of things you have to do for yourself, cause no one else can really do it for you, and no medication can neither. But i still think you should not be trying to take away others believe in Jesus, or God. Have a good St. Pattys day, no i am not irish.

Religion was invented as a way to control the masses....period. I heard something on the radio that I think says it pretty well."God is great but life ain't always good. When I pray it doesn't always turn out the way I think it should." Love one another as you love yourself . Give 100% of yourself to others and you will recieve twofold for your efforts. I am not spiritual or religious but I no the difference between right and wrong with no instruction and I am comfortable with me. I think those that have to have religion genuinly enjoy other people and like belonging to an organization that they don't necessarily have to have anything to do with. "These people seem nice at this or that church and look we don't have to do anything but show up and write a check.One last thought....I know alot of folks that truly need to believe in something bigger than themselves. Personally I think thats a cop out because of some type insecurity that they have never been able to overcome.

If you think you had problems before, wait until judgement day!!! There is a God, Jesus is real and he never gives anyone more than they can handle. Unfortunately, Satan is also real. He provides temptations to keep people from believing and it's a sad thing to see that you were so vulnerable to his command. Just remember it's never too late to pray and ask for forgiveness. I'll be praying for you too, even if you don't like my response.
