I'm worried about talking synthroid, about 4 days ago I took the generic levoxyl and I thought I was having a stroke... I was pale and very nervous trembling my heart was pounding 100 miles per hour.. I saw the doc today and she said maybe it was the generic one so she wants me to start synthroid.. I'm so scared what my reaction would be she said it was the lowest dosage .025mcg... Has anyone had any bad reactions with synthroid?

I have been looking for insurance and cannot find any that are a fair deal. Either they are pretty cheap monthly with HUGE payments (like 400 for the surgery) or they have low payments but I would be paying more throughout the months. Any ideas on good insurance in Cali?

I cut my gum on a toothpick. I think its infected. Will it go away on its own or could it spread and ruin my teeth? I can't afford a dentist, but I can go to a clinic type of thing today.

I lost my virginty just after Valentines Day 2007. I used protection each time, and thoguht nothing wrong at the time.
However, my period was due on this week and I am now in complete paranoia that I may be pregnant. I don't want to visit the doctor's as I am opiophobic. (Fear medical doctors experience of prescribing needed pain medications for patients)
And I don't feel that I could buy a pregnancy testing kit for fear of recognization.
Advice please.

so i dont really have bad acne or anything and my skin can be really clear somtimes and once i get it looking good and healthy it dries out sooooo badly and is so itchy and uncomrfatble i use mosterizers to tr to make it not dry but it dosnet work and iswitched my fae wash and nothing helps...waht do i do i cant stand this!

I am 27 years old and so far I have torn both acl's in my knee's and dislocated both of my shoulders. Since I have participated in sports I have had injuries but never a broken bone. I have had both knees operated on with moderate sucess. I'm now not as active in fear I will tear or dislocate some other part of my body.

I'm 20, and have been going bald for about 2-3 years. At the point I'm at now, If I carefully work my hair, and "style" it so it looks like I'm just letting it lie flat as though I had let it dry naturally after taking a shower, then you really can't tell. But if my hair gets moved as a result o pretty much anythiing, it reveals a massive thinning patch on the front of the top of my head.

Anyway, my question is whether you think I should shave my head to avoid having to deal with the whole male pattern baldness thing, or what?

I have never been totally bald before, but for about 4 months I kept my hair at about 1/4" in length, and got complimented on it. Granted, I wore a cap constantly.

I am going to try and make my avatar a piture of me instead, so you can see what I look like with hair.

i hate sleeping at night and i can sometimes sleep a lil duing the day...but my doc is like not so keen on the idea of putting my on meds for sleeping at a young age of 22...but because of not sleeping i'm missing work...ne suggestions

Well if anyone read that question about someones father in the hospital for bronchitis (devaloped to pneumonia. and a nurse was going to give the man a insulin shot and what would happen, Well I was in the Hospital with pneumonia, the Solumedrol IV 250 mg they were giving me caused my blood sugar to to almost 300 just right before it was time to eat so the Insulin had to be given to me to bring my blood sugar to normal levels, while in the hospital i received several Insulin shots aday so I am still alive no coma, That nurse that give that man a shot had orders from a doctor, so some of those answers form those people don't know what in the hell their talking about,

During a routine exam, my doctor found a nodule of my thyroid. I have since had an ultrasound, which revealed that I have a nodule on each lobe. One of them is about 3 cm. I'm currently waiting to see an endo on March 22.

I've been doing a lot of research lately about how many people have had FNAs which were benign, and later, they found it was actually malignant, partially because the nodule was big and it was hard to biopsy every single part of it.

I'm going to ask my doctor all sorts of questions, but I was wondering what the actual risk of cancer is. I'm 23 and female and my thyroid bloodwork all came back normal. I've read many statistics all ranging is possibilities: 5% chance it's cancer, 15% chance, etc.

Anyone have any useful knowledge on the subject who can help me?

History started on a day I didn't eat well & kept smoking & ended up vomiting & the tragedy began as I was overseas on a business trip & worry added to the symptoms as well. anything I ate or drank gave me nausia.

Dr gave me H. Pylori test which was postive & gave me a 3 medications course for a week for get rid of the bacteria.

During the week of antibiotics, I felt great & as if nothing happened. 2 weeks after, I had a stressful event & it all came back to me again but without the diarihia this time a feel that I'm going to vomit during the night or early in the morning or whenever my stomach is empty.

Done XRAY & even that XRAY dr said there was nothing there, my Dr said that I have a duod. ulcer & gave me SOMAC 40mg 1 tablet for 6 months straight.

I've been on SOMAC for around 3 days.

My question is ....... is there light at the end of the tunnel? :) how long before I can expect symptoms to disappear?
