If you find yourself
1) in your bedroom sitting inthe corner rocking backwards and forwards
2) thinking to yourself "there is no escape ... me, I, me, I, me, etc" and
3) you are unaware that the love of your life, the partner of your dreams is sitting next to you asking for your hand in holy matrimony .......

then chances are you are indeed having a mental breakdown. Otherwise stop feeling sorry for yourself, realise that there is no courage without fear and get back into the ring and fight for your life.

Alternatively, you could get advice from a professional.

Well usually everything in your life feels completely suffocating and you have anxiety all the time and just feel pressure in your chest. You would probably cry alot and just have a total feeling of confusion and helplessness. But if this is happening you need to relax, find a way to deal with one issue at a time and not solve everything all at once. Things will get better just remember to hang in there.

"Mental breakdown" is not a medical term, and it has no generally accepted meaning, so if you want one, call it that. Otherwise, it might be best to discuss your concerns with a counsellor or your physician.
