i need some help. i might get headgear and im a girl that isnt the coolest kid in class so headgear wont make my life easier. what should i do?

Have you consulted with other orthodontists? Would you have to wear it all day? Get your parents to get a few different opinions and let them know how you feel. Also, there is no such thing as not being a cool kid. Everyone is cool in their own way.

As someone else mentioned, you may 'only' have to wear the headgear at nite, however, for me, it really bothered my neck and was not comfortable to wear (I also have a bad neck from a previous injury :) Perhaps you can find out if it is a necessity to treat your braces or whatnot.

okay i had braces (i got them taken off two days ago) and headgear (still have it) and I only wore it at night because that is whenn your jaws grow the most

ask your orthodontist if maybe you can just wear the head gear at night, or ask if there are other alternatives. :)
