Just today out of nowhere, I began suffering from awful knee pain. It is located just above the patella (kneecap) to the left a little bit, on my right knee. I have Osgood-Schlotters in both knees, and I'm still in the midst of that, but this pain is different. However for the first time in about 5 months I played a full 90 minute soccer game, with just the usual pain, but now, the day afterwards, I have this awful pain. Could I have torn something from being out of shape? The pain is so bad I can hardly walk, and I need assistance going up stairs.

And if this is any help at all, I'm 15, so it's not arthritis or osteoporosis of the bones.

I see different kinds like a lemonaide and juice...but it doesn't say how much you do drink and how often and if that is all you take into your body...

I have been working out on my treadmill for 30 min. a night every night for the past month. And I fill like I am not really getting the results fast enough. Would I be over doing it if I did 30 min in the morning and in the evening? Im going to be in a wedding on April 28th. And I still have like 20 more pounds to loose. I dont except to loose all that by then but I would like to get my body as toned as I possiably could by April 28th. Is this possiable. So my two questions are.
1. Would I be over doing it if I did 30 min on the treadmill in the morning and evening?
2. What is the best excersise that I can do for toning that I will see the results by the 28th of April.

Help!!!
Thanks.

Every year I get this loud, chesty cough that lasts anywhere from a month to 2 months, where I'm coughing everyday. Sometimes I cough up phlem, but usually not. At times it's rather painful and I get these urges that I can't resist and I have coughing fits. *cough* Like right now. I've never seen a doctor for it. What do you think this could be?

My family has suggested weight watchers, but I know from past experience that cutting back food does not do the trick for me. It has always been getting more active. Due to my current health issues, I am not allowed strenuous things like jogging or weight lifting. I need a good workout with out all the cardio stress. Help.

My chemistry teacher heated iodine a little while ago. Iodine in it's pure form is a black/gray solid and when heated, sublimes and becomes a gas. He put on the song purple haze and danced around with the beaker because when iodine sublimes it makes a purple haze. I know this sounds a little stupid but I'm just wondering... does this purple gas (the sublimed iodine) have anything to do with the purple haze that is the drug?

Please don't report me for a bad question, I'm just curious because my teacher then put the beaker under the fume hood and said it was toxic....

A relative that we love very much is so obese that her organs are collapsing from the weight of the fat. She's mentally ill and is addicted to food. It's so scary to watch her laboring to breathe, be unable to walk very far, and not know how to help her. Her mother is a weight watcher leader and has not been successful in helping her either. We love her and want her to live and it seems like she doesn't care if she lives. Her thoughts and conversations are always about food and the next meals that she's going to eat.
She's bright and manipulative and knows what foods will help her lose weight, control her blood sugar levels, and knows about portion sizes. If any of you have any suggestions that family members can do to help her, they will be so welcome. She takes multiple meds for her multiple health problems, has to use a ventilator, a C-PAP machine, and is now on insulin. Her doctors tell her it's mandatory that she lose weight and she thinks she's being picked on.

Why would someone do self-destructive things and sabotoge themselves at the expense of others when they have much better common sense than their actions indicate? Is it low self-esteem? Mental problem? Like I used to be a very consciencious person who never broke any of the rules. But I was always insecure, shy, and I never ever developed who I was because I was always on edge and more worried about my hyperanxiety andperfectionism than figuring out who I was. I was top of my class. Then after high school I went to a year of college, developed a very serious case of bulimia, slept around, got pregnant, started stealing, and many many other things...that all amount to just being very careless Though I knew so much better and was a very bright girl what could have caused me to destroy my life? Could I have never learned to care about myself due to being worried about being perfect and never doing anything "bad?????"
