I have been working out on my treadmill for 30 min. a night every night for the past month. And I fill like I am not really getting the results fast enough. Would I be over doing it if I did 30 min in the morning and in the evening? Im going to be in a wedding on April 28th. And I still have like 20 more pounds to loose. I dont except to loose all that by then but I would like to get my body as toned as I possiably could by April 28th. Is this possiable. So my two questions are.
1. Would I be over doing it if I did 30 min on the treadmill in the morning and evening?
2. What is the best excersise that I can do for toning that I will see the results by the 28th of April.

Help!!!
Thanks.

I do not think that this is a healthy way to lose 20 lbs in a month and a half. If you double your cardio you will just get more hungry and tired... I played Division 1 sports for three years and we worked out twice a day for HOURS and I just gained weight to keep my energy up!

You can set your goal at 20 lbs, but if you lift weights a few times a week instead of doing double cardio you will loose inches fast! not necessarily lbs - but you will look and feel better!

If you do the following you MAY lose up to 10 lbs by then but any more would be unhealthy: You should do cardio in the morning for 1/2 hr to 40 minutes and stretch afterward for about 5-10 minutes, it helps you burn more calories during the day. Then at night maybe do 15-20 minutes of cardio to warm your muscles up and lift some light weights or do floor excercises for 20 minutes -- and of course stretch again; it lengthens your muscles and keeps you from getting sore so you are good to go again in the morning. It is very important! If you are running out of time skip the extra workout and stretch instead. You only have to do this part 3-5 times a week.

Also - don't eat fatty food! No desserts or creamy salad dressing etc and limit the carbs. No matter how much you workout you can destroy weeks of hard work with a tub of fried chicken or pint of ice cream! Eat lots of veggies and get sleep and you will look great in a month!

Hope this helps!

BILLY BLANKS BOOT CAMP works for me
30 min a day just treadmill will do really nothing for you besides work your legs and maybe shed some calories you ate for the day
try warming up, you sound commited to this so stretch for about 5 or ten min. your body takes about a solid ten minutes to warm up.
on Billy Blanks Boot Camp, he has 3 missions, all three have bonus workouts at the end, one has an eight min abs workout that really helps. its quick and effective.
You never really want to work out right before going to bed, you wont really sleep too well. Try an hour or two before sleep.

but stay commited, you can do it.
if you are only going to use the treadmill,
walk at about 7 mph and hold your hand behind your head like you are getting searched. that will activate your abs.

try some side stepping, that works diff parts of your legs,
also go slow enough to do some lundges, but dont hurt yourself.

always remember to keep your butt tight and your arms doing something besides holding the treadmill

hope this helps

I was doing something similar and I didn't see the results I wanted. Make sure you're eating enough. If you undereat and workout a lot, your body will make weight loss harder and hold on to fat. It thinks you're experiencing famine. Depending on how tall you are and how much you weigh, I'd say you should be eating 1,600-2,000 calories a day if you're going to be working out twice a day. I know it might sound like a lot but if you go under, say, 1,500 and you're working out 2 times a day your body will not cooperate. Add some weight training in there as well.

Adding muscle is good because muscle burns calories to sustain itself, whereas fat doesn't, so your metabolism goes up. And a pound of muscle mass takes up less room than a pound of fat, so if you do weights you may not lose as much weight but you'll fit into a smaller size and look smaller.

Good luck.

1. i heard tom cruise and jennifer garner work out twice a day. some people work out all day. mr brother and his wife (who LVOES jennifer garnder) ride like 50 miles on the weekends, run 8 or nine miles onthe weekends, and just ran a marathon! so now, u wouldnt be overdoing it. i commend your goals.

2. running and squats. i really like to do the firm. to me that was the best exercise.

Overwork? Hardly.

In good weather I ride my bike to work, an hour each way, plus run for 45 minutes at lunch.

Nope as long as you don't do that with weightlifting
