Every year I get this loud, chesty cough that lasts anywhere from a month to 2 months, where I'm coughing everyday. Sometimes I cough up phlem, but usually not. At times it's rather painful and I get these urges that I can't resist and I have coughing fits. *cough* Like right now. I've never seen a doctor for it. What do you think this could be?

I've been fighting that very same thing since the middle of February. This is the first time I ever had it and I picked it up from one of the managers here at work who got it from his kids. All this hacking and coughing caused me to lose my voice roughly 3 weeks ago.
One of the people here at my job suggested that I might have "walking pneumonia". I did go see a doctor for it about a little over a week ago and was prescribed a "Z-pak". It stopped the illness itself, but I'm still hacking and coughing. ...and it gets much worse at night.
You might want to consider going to doctor and getting it checked out.
Lately I've been... drinking lots of water, taking as much as 8,000 mg Vitamin C and 1600 mg of Echinacea, drinking at least 2 cups of hot green tea sweetened with honey and a splash of lemon.

Sounds like what I have. My husband came home with a cough that he got over quickly. But it made me completely lose my voice and now I'm having coughing fits, plus coughing throughout the day and night. I've had this now about 2 weeks, lost my voice last week and just getting it back now. It's still just dragging on. I think it's viral and just one of those things that takes it's time to clear. I've known so many people with the same symptoms. Take care and hope you get better soon.

Do you ever wheeze? My son and I get asthma but we seldom wheeze, it's more like a loud barky cough.Viruses, exercise, or spring pollens can set it off. I would advise going to see a dr. while you are in this coughing stage. They'll be able to help you.

i'm valuable it does not end right now a year is up lol. even nevertheless, strangely i replaced into listening to somebody phoning into my vet, interior the waiting section, who replaced into interior the comparable difficulty. She replaced into informed the comparable element - that it replaced into too previous by using get the jab and be secure in putting their dogs into kennels and that she could desire to bypass away it a pair of weeks in the previous going into kennels. Your determination i assume, if the kennel proprietors do no longer decide for to confirm the place of work work. yet could desire to somebody else be doing the comparable element (!!) you may desire to correctly be putting your dogs in risk. Your determination. yet I worked in a Boarding Kennel for a pair of years, and we did no longer have any KC in there the full time i replaced into there so going into Kennels does not straight away recommend he'd %. it up. i think of i could be vulnerable to hazard it, if it fairly is basically for a pair of days (or perhaps you may desire to get a nighbour/kinfolk to domicile-sit down him?) Vaccination is a 'gentle dose' btw.
