Lately things haven't been going very well. I usually keep things to myself, in myself, waiting until it all expands and I end up breaking down for a day or two. But now that I moved to a different country, far away from my family and friends it happens more often than I like. My husband is a calm person, and he always tries to de-stress me, but how can I de-stress when an immigration official announces that they have never gotten my papers even though I have received confirmation from them that they did? Or that my husband's great job (the reason for which I moved here) is falling apart because of the incompetence of his boss? And tons of other things that just fry my nerves like over-fried bacon for a disgusting breakfast. I really want to calm down, but my usual methods don't work anymore. So may be you can give me some advice?

Hi everyone
I want to start walking more to improve my fitness level & keep hearing that 10,000 steps is the daily rocommended amount we should be walking. I don't have a pedometer at the moment but am planning to pick one up soon.
Do any of you guys know roughly the distance that 20,000 steps would cover...like in miles?
I realise this could vary from person to person because we all walk at a different speed but was just trying to guess-timate it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I have arthritis in its early stages in my knees and hips. A number of people have suggested various 'cures' - MSM, Glucosamine, JointEase and Cool Oil.

Has anyone tried any of these with any success?

I am 19, female, non-vegetarian. I drink 3 glasses of milk a day (ever since I was 5)... I am not on drugs, fags or booze.. My problem is I can sleep for 12-14 hours if nobody wakes me.

During weekdays, since I have college, somebody wakes me up to get ready.. then the university work is sooo tiring, I come bak home n sleep for 2-3 hours occasionally in the evening..

Then during holidays (weekends n study breaks) I start hibernating again.. this happens atleast twice a week..

So is anything wrong with me? or is it juz that I am too tired n catching up on the sleep I lacked during weekdays?

Can you tell me some ways I can limit my sleeping hours to 8 hrs maximum...?

Note: I sleep like a log.. Nothing really disturbs me (phone ringing, tv being on, people yelling) I can still sleep sound.. If someody wakes me up n asks me questions,, I can get up, answer it and go back to sleep without any trouble..
