Why does it look uncircumcised when flacid but circumcised during an erection? Is that normal?

so, if technically you still have foreskin while flacid, why is it considered more hygenic?

Common for a lot of men. It basically means there is a considerable size difference between the two states (some guys are roughly the same size erect as the are flaccid). The extra skin allows for expansion. The biggest difference in hygiene is, a lot of uncircumcised men can't pull their foreskin back in order to properly clean, but a lot of uncircumcised men can. That's why if you look up other questions on what women prefer, you'll realize is personal preference based off of personal experience, some bad some good. Either way it is just considered more hygienic because you have better access in order to clean it. A lot of women prefer the appearance of a circumcised penis, but not many see it in the flaccid state (other than your significant other, but then it wouldn't matter, they love you for you). If they did, they would probably think you weren't circumcised, even if they saw you erected and it was apparent you are. Chalk it up to the U.S. mentality of it being taboo to learn or discuss these things (everyone expects vagina's, penises, and breast/nipples to look like the diagram you saw in in your 8th grade health book)

Yes, it's normal. Think about it for a moment. If the suit fit tight when it was flacid, you would have no room for expansion. While skin is somewhat elastic, there are limits to the stretchability. Thats why the ladies complain about stretch marks after the baby is born. Your suit would snap if it didn't stretch enough, and wouldn't that just be a hoot?

Normal dude. Amanda T must be a deprived little girl just looking for 2 points. Superior1 gave a superior answer. People have normal questions because they aren't ever taught what is right. It would be nice if health class taught about: breast/nipple size and shape (inverted nipples/long and huge nipples, nipples that point up and down versus straight out/oval, round, flat, pancake boobs), different labia sizes (major and minor) and penis size and shape (all are completely different), but instead you get that one or two simulated images which gives everyone a false perspective

Circumcision is NOT more hygienic. That is a myth from the 19th century.

It sounds like you had a loose circumcision that left part of your foreskin, so the head is covered when you are flaccid, but the skin retracts due to the expansion of the penis during erection.

it is normal for some males.but if you are circumcised technically you do not have a foreskin.part of your foreskin is removed most likely most of your normal foreskin is gone.you probably no longer have a ridged band.and most of your sebaceous glands are gone.
