I don't dare; I look bad enough already! But seriously, I know that meth ruins people's looks, which is the least of what it does to ruin people. It is especially cruel to chubby girls, because they do lose the weight, but not the addiction. There they are, believing they are looking better all the time, but in fact becoming undesirable rather than desirable because of what it is doing to her mental condition and her social circle. Not to mention her economic condition. Very few girls who get addicted to meth escape some amount of prostitution to pay for the habit, one way or another.

The question is not what a broken down old lady would look like if you added that to her problems. The question is what a healthy young lady would look like. Or even what I looked like many long years ago when I discovered that you could get three or four doctors to write the same prescription, as long as you didn't tell one about the other. (Sorry, girls, they are all in touch by computer in the pharmacy nowadays; it wouldn't work anymore.) That was when the strongest generally available couldn't kill you in a week, but more like six months. You had time to get help.

Crystal meth is a sudden addiction. The come down is sufficiently severe that just to function at all you need a little more. The hair of the dog, if you ask an alcoholic about that. It very quickly grabs a person who otherwise would not be sucker for addiction by the physical effects. There is nothing good about it that cannot be had in far less drastic fashion, legally, by a single responsible MD. And frankly, probably also pretty effectively without a prescription at your local health food store.

The so-called high is a serious befuddlement, when observed by non-users. The euphoria feels like being very smart and cool and all, but people who see you who are not high are laughing at you, or very worried about your sanity, because it is a fool's high.

Don't do it. I got close enough, thank you, and some of my friends have had major battles, spend lots of time in 12-step meetings fighting it.
