Hi everyone
I want to start walking more to improve my fitness level & keep hearing that 10,000 steps is the daily rocommended amount we should be walking. I don't have a pedometer at the moment but am planning to pick one up soon.
Do any of you guys know roughly the distance that 20,000 steps would cover...like in miles?
I realise this could vary from person to person because we all walk at a different speed but was just trying to guess-timate it.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

As you said, it is going to vary by the person. Since I am 6'6" I have a very long stride - some people take 3 steps for every step I take. I even take 3 steps at a time when walking up stairs.

You might try finding a high school track and walk once around it to count how many of your steps that is. The track is typically 1/4 mile so you would be able to do the math from there.

If you were to take 1900 steps per mile then 20000 steps is about 10 and a half miles. 1900 is a figure given as a round number here:

But there is a more accurate calculator for you to use here:

Baggy clothes hide your body and encourage lounging around. So regardless if you're relaxing at home, wear fitted clothes and keep you on track.

Don't keep junk food inside your kitchen. If it's not there, you can't be tempted because of it.
