I am 19, female, non-vegetarian. I drink 3 glasses of milk a day (ever since I was 5)... I am not on drugs, fags or booze.. My problem is I can sleep for 12-14 hours if nobody wakes me.

During weekdays, since I have college, somebody wakes me up to get ready.. then the university work is sooo tiring, I come bak home n sleep for 2-3 hours occasionally in the evening..

Then during holidays (weekends n study breaks) I start hibernating again.. this happens atleast twice a week..

So is anything wrong with me? or is it juz that I am too tired n catching up on the sleep I lacked during weekdays?

Can you tell me some ways I can limit my sleeping hours to 8 hrs maximum...?

Note: I sleep like a log.. Nothing really disturbs me (phone ringing, tv being on, people yelling) I can still sleep sound.. If someody wakes me up n asks me questions,, I can get up, answer it and go back to sleep without any trouble..

Ok thanks a lot guys.. Come to think of it.. It myight be genetic... I've seen my dad be awake for two days continuosly (because of his work).. n then sleep for like 16 hours straight after that..

So maybe it is a way of winding up the lack of sleep.. Anyways, I will try n consult a doc when I get time

I was the same I could sleep and sleep and sleep. I also slept like log. Turned out I had sleep apnoea. It's where you stop breathing in your sleep for a second so you semi wake up take a breath and return to sleep again. The problem being you never get enough REM sleep which is the sleep that recharges your body. This is because It take twenty minutes of sleeping generally to even reach your REM sleep Just like you I slept like a log so I was totally unaware of the sleeping disturbances. Also sleep apnoea sufferers are more likely to snore and be overweight. My condition is quite mild probably because I'm young and of healthy weight. I'm unsure whether this could be you or not but thought it might be a possibility.

Well first how historical is she? Very younger kittens eight weeks and underneath will sleep plenty and would possibly not play so much considering the fact that they're so tiny and developing speedy. As they grow older they are going to nonetheless sleep at any place from sixteen to 18 hours an afternoon, however they are going to additionally play extra. Also has she been external? Has she proven every other signs, like no longer consuming, diarrhea, and many others.? Check for fleas and in addition worms, if she's historical ample to be a making use of a litterbox assess her stool, oftentimes you'll see tapeworms there and may also obvious them popping out of the kitten's butt. If it keeps for a couple of extra days and you're nonetheless involved a shuttle to the vet will not do any harm and can ease your brain. :) Bring a stool pattern too should you want. When my two cats have been kittens I most likely known as or visited the vet and so they have been greater than completely satisfied to support and provide recommendation or data.

Different people have different sleep needs. But 12 to 14 hours of sleep appears a bit too much. If you can afford it, consult a sleep specialist and spend a night in a sleep laboratory where they check out your EEG and see whether everything is OK.

Tiring does make you sleep more. But better make sure that you are otherwise OK in health.

I think you may have a form of ME. My daughter was this way for a time (about a year). The doctors in England are not too accommodating when it comes to thing like ME, or MSC, (so we had no diagnosis for her), but
I think you should consult a doctor, just incase.

Sleep is good. It will slow the aging process. I want to sleep forever. Maybe just sick of work.
