I know vegetarian enzymes help your body absorb the nutrients in the food you eat and that's a good thing. However, they lessen the amount of energy it takes for your body to digest these foods. Will this make you gain weight because you aren't burning as many calories during digestion and you're absorbing more of the fat and other nutrients in the food?

what is it called when someone is pathologically afraid to be left alone? i dont just mean being left without company for a few minutes... not that extreme. i mean when someone has lost both parents, a brother and many friends (all died or abandoned them) and as a result, they live with the fear that ppl they hold dear will eventually abandon them or die. so a person with this fear therefore consciously avoids getting too attached to someone, coz they're scared they'll lose them.

someone told me this is called "monahofobia" is this valid?

please...only serious answers.
thanx

I have been having this swollen lymph gland a little above my collar bone. It doesnt hurt, and I went to a doctor who has suggested some tests on me, the results of which are:

Mantoux test: +ve (induration of 30 mm transverse diameter)
cytopathology report from the specimen, diagnosis: features are consistent with Granulomatous lymphadenitis, possibly of Koch's aetiology.

Otherise, i am perfectly healthy with no other health issues.
All my other tests are fine including blood report, chest, thyroid, LFT, urine sample, ultrasound and my ESR is 05mm/ 1st hr.
Please help...what do these results suggest...is there a way i can be treated for this swelling...and is this a case of tb?

I've been on 25 mcg (0.25 mg) for almost two weeks. I do feel better (the depression has lifted and I have more energy), but my appetite has not decreased, but it has not increased, either. Will appetite decrease occur the longer I am on it? This is a secondary benefit I would like to kick in because I need to lose 20 or 30 pounds after the Christmas holidays.

I finally got Dental coverage this month and I'll be getting dentures before the 1st of the year. I have a gum disease that has caused 75%of my teeth to go bad. I have always practiced good hygiene but the Dentist says that all my teeth have got to go. We discussed implants but they are way out of my price range.

My 1st question is what can I expected from here on out ?

And 2nd I have two gold teeth. When my teeth started to break I didn't have any insurance and could not afford crowns so I got gold instead . What I would like to do is see if the Dentist can remove the gold and put them on the same two teeth on the dentures ? No, I'm not trying to be cool, I just want people to not notice immediately that I have dentures. Call me vain, but I am a young looking 35 yr old female and I really am stressed about this . HELP !

I was diagnosised with bipolar when I was 15, but the medication made me feel empty and void of all emotion. I quit taking the medication and since then have been fighting an on-going battle to maintain my life without medication. I feel like it was been a lost cause, and I have wasted my time trying to be normal with this disease. I don't know what I can do to regain my life.

I took Lexapro once last week I did not like how it made me feel so I stopped. Should I be worried about withdrawal side effects after one 5MG pills? I have been feeling chills and I'm wondering if it could be related. I took Celexa 6 years ago for two months and after I stoppped I felt sick for awhile.

My pinky and ring finger are tingleing, I went to the doctor thinking it was a heart attack but they said it was something else. So while I wait to see my regular doctor I have time to think. I have noticed that when I press the side of my elbow it sends a tingleing sensation to my fingers. Does anyone know what it could be?

Ok, so my fioncee has been getting these sores in his throat. It looks just like strep throat, which is what his doctor keeps diagnosing him with (without ever doing a strep test) I just find it hard to believe that you could get strep so many times in a year (3 so far) Without me or my daughter ever getting it from him. I keep telling him to go see another doctor because i think it may be something else, but he wont. Does anybody know what else it could be, or do you think thats just all it is?

My girlfriend has been having chest pains right behind her left breast. The pain started in her chest Saturday night, moved down her left arm, and on Tuesday there was a sharp pain in her chest behind her left breast. She also has trouble breathing when the pain gets really bad.

She doesn't have stomach sickness or pain anywhere else. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
