Ok, so my fioncee has been getting these sores in his throat. It looks just like strep throat, which is what his doctor keeps diagnosing him with (without ever doing a strep test) I just find it hard to believe that you could get strep so many times in a year (3 so far) Without me or my daughter ever getting it from him. I keep telling him to go see another doctor because i think it may be something else, but he wont. Does anybody know what else it could be, or do you think thats just all it is?

About 4 years ago he started working at a factory where there were atleast 3 guys who ended up getting throat cancer, but it was never linked to the factory. He started getting these sores about a year after he started working there, and has kept getting them ever since, but never did before that.

I usually get strep 4 times every year and my family never gets it,
and the doctor always does the test on me, i am 16 and no one knows why i am prone to getting it so many times (so far this year i have gotten it twice)

I think you should try and get the test done, it could be something more serious then strep.

He needs to see an ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist) who will take the toxic exposure into account when testing him. He needs to get an appropriate diagnosis in order to get the right treatment. I wouldn't wait; this may be very serious.

it could definatley be strep, or cancer. i would suggest going to a cancer specialist, but before you do that try getting him to go to another doctor. try looking up his symptoms on webmd. it might tell you what it is there. hope he is ok!
