just tell them the truth and dont worry about what they think. you need to take care of yourself better though. make sure to fill and take all the prescriptions they give you and follow the diretions they give you for taking the meds also. taking them correctly is the key. i dont think they will yell at you ar anything. they might ask you why, but other than that , i doubt much will be said. take care and good luck. merry christmas.

Doctors are used to people not following their instructions! They won't be mad at you.
Be honest. If the drops helped, say so and explain that you were unable to renew the presciption but would like a new prescription now.
If the drops did not help, say so, and ask what else they would recommend.

In the meantime I recommend a little bicarbonate of soda (baking powder) dissolved in warm water as a good way to help sore dry eyes and no prescription needed.

Good luck

You sound in a bit of a bad way, but if you just keep it simple and tell the Doctors that you have had a lot on your plate these last few weeks i think they will understand. When you suffer from anxiety, like i do, your head can be all over the place. You must go and sort your eyes out they are very precious to you. Good Luck and keep smiling.

Ok. Get an empty medicine (or similar size) bottle. Clean it thoroughly. Boil the kettle and fill bottle with the boiled water. Add threequarter of a teaspoonful of salt to this water, replace the lid. When this bottled salt water has cooled, use it in an eye bath to bathe your eyes morning and night. Make sure you keep eye bath clean by pouring boiled water over it after each time you use it. You could also buy some Optrex Infectious Eyes from any pharmacy. Take care of your eyes because they're precious.

Keratoconjunctivitis sicca is chronic, bilateral desiccation of the conjunctiva and cornea due to an inadequate tear film. Symptoms include itching, burning, irritation, and photophobia. Diagnosis is clinical; the Schirmer test may be helpful. Treatment is with topical tear supplements, blockage of the nasolacrimal openings, and sometimes oral tetracyclines and/or topical antibiotics or topical cyclosporine.
There is no way to prevent keratoconjunctivitis sicca. Complications can be prevented by use of wetting and lubricating drops and ointments.
Please see the web pages for more details on Dry eyes and Schirmer test.

instead of going to the hospital, try going to an optomatrist. they specialize in eyes and can give you drops for anything. i have an allergy bump that appears on my eyelid and it scratches my eye and i take the eyedrops the optomitrst gave me and they really help. dont worry they shouldnt be mad at you :)

Well surely they would be understanding to the fact that you're stressed out about your condition. Don't worry - the hospital staff are there to help you so be honest about the situation. Hope you get better soon!

my mum suffers from dry eyes and sticky eye lids and the easiest and cheapest and painfree way of doing this was to get a cotton wool pad and put some baby shampoo mixed with small amount of water on it and wipe the eyes it does not sting cause its gentle for babies and it helps keep them from drying out so often. trust me this does work.

whether they are angry or not they probably won't show it.

Patients frequently don't follow instructions. Be honest with them and before then get your repeat script and start using the drops.

they will probably tell you its your own fault for not listening the first time but i dont think they willl be mad at you because its their job to help you, so i would still go in and get it checked out because otherwise it might just get worse
