Health - 24 November 2006

This is strange. This morning, my right arm started to itch. Within a few minutes, a hive formed where the itch was. Then my elbow on the same arm started to itch and within a few minutes (after scratching).. a hive formed there too.

My arm was not itching this morning. I haven't washed with anything unusual, and it's only affecting my right arm. Whenever clothing touches it, it is painful.

Now the hives are turning into blisters, which are quite painful.

I've tried putting Benadryl creme on it, which works. But within a few hours, the pain and itching return.

Has anyone ever had this happen? A hive to a blister after a few hours?

Is there anything that I can do other than what I am doing? This itching and pain are driving me nuts!!!

Things that scare me include large ships, icebergs and buoys. One of my greatest fears is getting stuck in the middle of a huge patch of seaweed in the middle of a lake and being forced to swim out of it through the seaweed. Also things under the water's surface such as submerged trees, sunken boats, or just major drop offs on bottom the lake.

They say the human mind is extremely complex. We don't know what the limit to our mind is. That's exciting.

What if, hypothetically, we could gain experience through psychotherapy, or some sort of program where we manipulate the mind to the point where the person believes and behaves in a way they're intended to? I know this theory is abstract, but I hope you understand what I'm saying.

For example, a guy with little experience with women could go into "treatment" and come out thinking he's a player and have all the confidence in the world. His behavior would be a complete 180% turnaround. He has completely changed even though he never physically experienced it. It's just that his mind was manipulated and what he THOUGHT he experienced felt so real, that it became reality!!

Do you think this is possible? Perhaps the way of the future?

I have to be able to do 15 full body pushups without a break for a physical fitness test. I have 6 months to get ready for it. I can only do maybe 1 or 2 full body, but can do about 10 leaning on my knees instead of feet. What exercises other than trying to do more pushups during my workouts do you recommend?

For Diabetics what does this do to you? Do you have to be hosptiliazed every time? When does your body say enough and completely shut down?

I tried it and after 2 weeks it hasnt gone away. I am going to try it again and if it doesn clear u p in a week i am going back to the doc. Myquestion is that I found these bug looking thinngs on the toilet paper after wiping myself. Should I keep thses bugs (larvae) and bring them in to the doctor or will they think I am crazy. Its the weidest feeling when I am laying down it feels like things are crawling around down there and especially near my but so I am worried that it may be something else. Any sugguestions? Thanks

I joined WW core plan last week. But I am confuse. If I join core plan, It means I can eat as much as I want. When I checked WW beta core list, they showed a lot of list and mentioned portion. For example, If I click breakfast list, they show me food list and mention 1 cup, or 1 slice. It means that I can eat ONLY this portion, right?

My mom had a mini stroke 3 months ago. She has very high blood pressure but she is on major meds for that. Her blood pressure is 147/85 . In the last three months my mom has under gone every test that Kaiser knows about to figure out why she is tingling in her her left side of her face, arm, and leg. They finally said they can do nothing more for her and to just come back in six month. Meanwhile, my Mom is constantly tingling in her legs and it sometimes goes into her arms and face. I am VERY worried about my Mom. She is 55 and has a history of hypertension where it reached 210/109 and she has high cholestrol too. I want her to be seen at UCLA but I do not know if Kaiser will pay for a second opinion. Has anyone being dealing with these health issues or have known anyone that have had these similar issues. Any help or direction would be greatly apprieciated. I am sooooo close with My Mom and I am very worried about her.

I have so much weight to loss and I am having a hard time.....I do not want to 'go there' but I was wondering; HOW did you get to THAT point? I mean, did you start on just wanting to get to a certain weight and it got out of hand? Do you KNOW that you're anorexic/ and or bulimic? Do you try to maintain a healthly weight? I am asking cause again, I dont' want to go there, but my mind is like this is the only way, then once I get to my goal weight I will be okay and can eat NORMALLY again....
